Its a trilby hat, as characterised by Trilby in such works as "5 Days A Stranger", "7 Days A Skeptic", "Chris and Trilby", and "How To Eat Porridge, In Seven Easy Steps". For further elaboration, ask someone who wears more variety of hats than a black beanie...

It's a dark grey rabbit fur trilby fedora, manufactured by the good people at Akubra Hats in Australia. There is a small yellow badge attached to the band bearing the words 'Curiosity Satisfied', which I bought from the Dinosaur Comics website.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.

Possibly because he already has. Just read the archives.

Christ, I worry about how much alot of you worship Yahtzee. I mean, sure he's funny, but I don't think it's very healthy to idolise someone that much.
And I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say; He isn't really the most attractive of men is he? In fact, I'd go so far as to say he's bordering on "wretchedly ugly".

If Yahtzee reads that, no offence intended.

But he is a good bloke.

While I agree wholeheartedly with the whole unhealthy-idolisation-of-Yahtzee thing (hell, some of you people are a hell of a lot more adoring toward him than I am), I'm gonna have to get huffy over the wretchedly-ugly comment, if only because it maligns my personal taste in men.

I wish my mod powers extended to more than just locking/moving threads. Then I could make some actual threats and stuff. That'd be sweet.

Also, Magicman, you are weird.

It's also worth nothing that Yahtzee's head is quite immense. It's possible to fit the orbit of a small planet inside that hat.

I was just going to say it was a spiffy hat, but it seems we're debating hero worship, so I'll just escape out of this handy trap door...

I do have to admit… some do worship Yahtzee like a God, whose words are unquestionable and divine… he has forged his own little world in which he rules supreme and his subjects hang on his every word.
He’s gained recognition via the internet to a level that many have failed to achieve… he’s created a whole new method of thought and logic which will effect future generations (for better or for worse) but if he were only to release a commercial game or publish a book of his, then I would hold him in my highest regard…

I can see it all now…

The World according to Yahtzee…

Instant best seller… (and when I find some web space I’ll load the front cover art)…

Or he just bagged some webspace, a domain name, and a good line in point and click games. Works about the same these days.
