Ha! I'm glad to see others share my affliction.
I can't tell how my obsession with the Sims 2 compared to my obsession with the Sims 1. I think they were pretty equal? It's so bad, and it makes you super-sick.
I'm in a not-playing-the-Sims period now, but only after having relapsed 2 or 3 times in the last few months. I found that other stupid, time-wasting games, which weren't quite as compelling as the Sims 2--namely Pirates! and Final Fantasy 1 on the beautiful new Xbox--worked like methadone! However, I would like to move on to something else, like reading.
And I agree the expansion pack is coming out too soon. I want to try not to buy it. But it would be so neat to send your sims to college!
