I'm glad someone else likes it. Let us know what you think when you're done with it. My favorite segment was the mine cart ride.
How far are you?
I also have a couple of tips for you, if you really wan them.
1) Shoot villagers and normal zombies once in the head, then two to three times in the chest with your pistol to kill them. This prevents the bugs from popping outta thier heads if you would blow thier heads off with a gun. Only for use when you're facing 1-3 villagers, though. Any more than that and you get swarmed.
2) Use a flash grenade on those bugs. One will kill them instantly. Not sure if it works on ones still attached to a body.
3) If there's lots of villagers, you can blow off thier legs with a shotgun, then slice them open with your knife to save ammo.

really though, RE4 isn't anything like the other RE games so your gonna get hardcore fanatics slating it and n00bs to the series loving it for what it is, and it is a GREAT game, i played it a while back now and completed it, but I'm still goin backfor another round and Assignment Ada, its a brilliant game with an excellent end of game boss that makes you run away from it non-stop until you realise that it isn't tiring so you try and some up the courage to fight it...
i personally liked the new camera, because it never failed to show what needed to be shown i also liked the option of changing it from over the shoulder to First Person...
the graphics i agree are absolutely awe inspiring and the sound is amazing, as i said its nothing like the other games and i feel it has something to do with the controls/camera. With the former games the scariest thing was trying to get away from the zombies, whereas in RE4 even though the enemies are intellegetn and en masse they are easier to escape because of the so many weapons/abilities at your disposal, eg: any exposive weapon(grenade/mine-dart thrower/rocketlauncher...etc), so good for targeting any number of enemies then making them fall to thier deaths because of the explosion hurtles them off the edge of a cliff.
