Liam Neeson may return to 'Star Wars':

[Hollywood News]: Los Angeles, Jan 11 : Oscar winner Liam Neeson has hinted that he may return to George Lucas's new "Star Wars" film to play the ghost of his character, Jedi master Qui-Gon Jinn, who died in "Star Wars: Episode I -The Phantom Menace".

The star of "Schindler's List" hinted that a top-secret cameo with co-star Samuel L. Jackson was recently shot for "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith", reported Contactmusic.com.

But Neeson has refused to give details about the project. "I can't speak about it. Jedi code of ethics," he joked.

The film, which is the seventh in the "Star Wars" franchise, will be released in May 2005.

-Sigh- I hope they dont edit QGJ into the OT. It would be so embarassing.

Obi Wan: "So was I when you trained me, Yoda."

Ghost of Qui Gon: "But I trained you."

Yoda: "Nine hundred years old I am. Have time for this crap I do not."

I thought Neeson hated working on Episode 1. Didn't he say something along the lines of "I felt like a puppet."?

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

Jariten- Why would it tighten things up if he was completely ignored during ep2? That's kind of silly. Qui Gon was never even mentioned in episode 2 and there were a lot of important times he should have popped up. This just adds to the inconsistency, not only with the OT but now with the preceding PT.

Sure he was but you had probably fallen alseep by then. It was when Dooku was questioning Obi-Wan and he mentioned that Qui-Gon spoke so highly of Obi-Wan and then...

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

Chefelf- I thought it was Yoda who was speaking highly of someone... even though Yoda had presumably not seen Dooku in so long... You're right my memory is rather sketchy.

I do remember some nonsense about Dooku training Qui Gon but that dosnt do anything to suggest why he should come back. Remember in the OT when Obi Wan died and people actually missed him and spoke of this? Remember how people reacted to his death in some way? That gave him a clear reason to return. In the PT Qui Gon just dies and is only mentioned afterwards once by Dooku and now we're supposed to believe that he'd come back to hang out with people who dont even know he's dead?

NTCM- What?

After Anakin commits genocide, you see yoda meditating and hear qui gonn saying "Anakin.....Anakin" then right after in a different voice you hear(i think its anakins voice foreshadowing his fall in episode 3) "noooooooooo" in a hellish tone.

The first words in Episode one that qui gon spoke hint at why he is able to retain his spirit form and come back in ROTS. When was obi wan mentioned besides once by luke after he died?

If Qui-Gon saw what Anakin did and was capable of appearing to the other Jedi, why the hell didn't he tell them about it? Sounds like we're going to have to add his name to Padme's in the list of people who helped hasten the demise of the Jedi Order through their inaction.

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

I've heard it too actually. I think they sampled Neesons voice from Episode I somehow, but the agonizing "NOOOOO!" could be anyone... It is "mysterious" little details like this that keeps the fanboys happy and the threads going at theforce.net smile.gif
