I'd have to side with Matt Damon on this. Whether or not either one is a good "actor" is a matter of taste, but between the two, Damon seems to be a much better actor than Ben Affleck and Matt does two of the following -
1) Keeps a much lower profile
2) Manages to appear in better films [not always good films but much better than "Daredevil" and "Gigli"]
If this inane topic thread has come up before, please forgive me.

Ben Affleck or Matt Damon? Who would we rather put up with?

I'd have to go with Matt. I found Matt Damon to be a more convincing action hero type in The Bourne Identity than Affleck was in The Sum of All Fears.
But which has a more convincing Boston accent?

Hands down, Matt Damon. Affleck is almost DOA with his movie career with some of the absolute crappy choice he has had. Now, he is bringing down Jennifer Gardner as well. Dating Affleck has become the equivalent of guys dating Tara Reid...just begin to lose all repsect for them.
