besides what would this forum be like without some diversity. you guys would just agree and keep agreeing that lucas sucks and the pt sucks all day.

Okay. Then TF.N, starwars.com, and the Galactic Senate are in need of diversity, too. You gonna go over there and tell them that?

Right. Gushers get the run of all the movie forums at TF.N while the bashers get bullied into a single thread. Yeah, that's diverse. blink.gif

You know what? People here do disagree, quite regularly. Apart from the fact that some of us like certain aspects of the PT (and indeed the OT) while others don't, jariten is a 'gusher' and Xombie doesn't like any of the movies - yet both of them are welcomed on to the forum. You want to know why you get flamed and they don't? Because they don't post things like this:

QUOTE
ROTS will have the swwetest lightsaber duel ever and you know it. boo ya boo ya bashers who try to bash and rehash and repeaditly smash the prequels . it will be so cool with lava and everything. and then anakin will eventually lose and get lava on him. but before that happens he will kill padme  who needs that bitch who can't act anyway.

Or this:
QUOTE
and if you say obi wan and anakin never had a friendship you shouldn't be watching movies.

Or this:
QUOTE
you guys are acting like uber nerds complaining about small details that do not interfere with the plot." wa wa wa george lucas raped my childhood" grow up and stop whining like little bitches.

There is plenty of 'diversity' here. We used to have long, detailed and above all sensible debates on all sort of subjects, before you and Hannibal arrived on the scene. Some of them got quite heated, but they never, ever descended to the level of childishness I've seen in some of your posts. I'm not saying you're solely responsible, but this forum has been getting more and more acrimonious ever since you arrived - and, I'm afraid to say, the main reason for this is your insistence on dragging discussions down to the same adolescent level as the threads at theforce.net. Can you blame us for getting fed up when most of us are adults, accustomed to discussing things in a slightly more sophisticated manner than 'well, I'm right and you're not, so there'?

I would never normally ask someone to leave the forum just because they had opposing views to me, but in your case I honestly find myself forced to ask what the hell you're even doing here. You're clearly not happy with either the level or tone of the discussions here, and I would have thought it would be clear by now that you have no chance of converting us to your point of view (if anyone could manage that, it would be jariten). I respectfully suggest that you stick to forums like tf.net, where you can discuss these things with people of your own age and educational level, and maybe come back to this forum in a few years when you'll be better equipped to participate in the debates here.

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

QUOTE
Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

star wars is a kids movie not a movie for philisophical debates. what have you been debating so hard?how much lucas sucks? thats what i see in the last 32 pages of this forum. tfn is just full of kids, its full of people of all ages whol love star wars. maybe the reason they are so much more popular than this forum which only has about 15 regular posters(including myself) is because they arent stuck up asshole bitches.screw you guys im going home as cartman would say. and remember, if anyone posts a topic saying how cool a movie will be for the sake of getting this fossil board active, flame then, peace out.

Okay, have it your way.... PT is for the child(ish), the OT, before SE-ization was for cross-generations, and that is why it was greatly successful, and PT is failing.

I appreciated the OT when I was a kid, and I continued to appreciate it when I was an adult, therefore it is blatantly bizarre that the PT's do not. If I was a kid, seeing these for the first time, I know I would like it, but I highly doubt it would "grow up" along with me.

I know it ancedotal, but my kids won't sit still for the PT's. They will watch OOT. What's up with that?

So, before you start saying there's something with Bashers... I think you better examine your tastes, and this strange tenacious behavior to insist that the PT's are actually good.

To put it simply.... PT's don't stand up to the OT, and they are not Star Wars. Not by MY standards, but by what came before--Star Wars itself. You just have the blinders on and refuse to see it.

Battle for the Galaxy--read the "other Star Wars"

All I know is I haven't seen the real prequels yet.

Hmmm so thats the problem. I thought it was because tf.net had the backing of the GL empire. Well, no matter, all we need to do is do a bit of advertising:

"Chefelf.com starwars forum- We're not stuck up asshole bitches"

That'll bring 'em in!

You mean the sage advise that I have dished out in other threads is now going to be wasted!

Damn I hate being one of the 380 irregular posters.

I don't blame you, jariten. Sorry to deprive you of your only ally here, but then again, with friends like that...

Well we're all glad you showed up, if for nothing else than to provide a great character in various hillarious spoofs. Let's hear it for Jariten, we're terribly lucky to have an intelligent prequel supporter with us, especially considering what the unintelligent ones are like.
