I know at least a few people here have seen Wes Craves first film "Last House on the Left", correct? Well, I didn't see it until I bought it on DVD a few months ago...and I must say, It was very good.

What made it actually scary was the fact that it was in a documentry style. Wes made it seem like you were there witnessing the whole thing. Craven wanted everything in the movie, like ripping organs out of a girls stomach after stabbing her several times.

When watching the movie in commentary mode, Wes Craven said that most of the people who acted in the film regret being in it to this day. I don't blame them at all either, the actors had to do some vulgar things in flik.

When the movie hit theaters, most of the content was cut out by theater owners themselves. Last House was band from England and Germany I think, but I'm not completely sure.

What do you guys think of this movie? Like it? Or hate it?

I've never seen Last House on the Left so I wouldn't know, yet I feel intrigued.

How about John Carpenter's The Fog, has anyone seen that?

I thought "The Fog" was good. John Carpenter's stuff usually is.

Bravo did a thing during Halloween naming the Top Horror Moments of All Time...there are some truly disturbing films out there, this was one of the tops especially considering how affected the actors were at the end of filming.

Finally saw Last House On The Left, and while I won't deny it's unsettling (which a horror film should be) I can honestly say the scariest thing about it was the horrible acting by the people who played the killers. At the end I'm rooting for the avenging father to kill Krug (the leader) not just because Krug is a disgusting person but because he's also incredibly irritating and giving a bad performance.

I haven't seen "Last House On The Left" yet, but judging by the greater body of Wes Craven's work, I don't know if I'd even bother.
