even if you disable the security alarm and no-one else is around i still cant shoot that russian guy when hes on duty
and when i invite someone house and decide to kill them, the fact that i shoot them infront of that russian guy doesnt seem to get me caught

When you get Doreen's documents from the library, you get the usual message: 'Thank you for using the library, you have 6 days to return the loan'. Doesn't it seem rather inappropriate?

Also, when you try to kill the captain, you get caught and the game ends even if the security system is down. This is of course understandable (the ship can't really go on without a captain), but I think there could be some message like 'Are you insane? Who is going to control the spaceship?' or something... so that the character could have a chance to change his/her mind...

Just one other thing. Doreen's personality is far from nice, obviously, but why doesn't she accept presents even when she's your accomplice? I don't expect her to like flowers or candy much, but she could be happy to get some tools (or hacking tools, steroids, guns etc, since she's such an evil one).

Alright, smartarses - I've uploaded a new version, and now you can only use the hacking tools once a day, saving when you disable security obviously. Har har har.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.

You can still smuggle messages to the Remans when you morals are high, although you can't commit any other offence. (I know I'm annoying. Sorry)

i just joined here but im a long time fan of fullyramblomatic. by the way, the rob blanc games have got to be some of your best work.

ok down to buisness, the reading in your quarters bug is still there, but only with the female character. i tryed with all ocupations and it still did it so its not a specific job bug.

The games great. cant wait to see the finished product

One aspect to the female stuck in reading bug is that if you walk while stuck in reading, the uniform changes colour to blue when you move around to the right.

You can buy more than one package of hacking tools, and if you get caught, the others remain in your inventory (They don't all self-destruct)

Also, I got caught twice for being a naughty boy. I've since spent a month working 'well' for 5 hours a day and won the medal on the away mission. But my promotion prospects are still 'comical' (Incidentally, I wasn't demoted even though I wasn't demoted from Ensign) I've also spoken to the captain loads and taken him to the pictures (He has a full popularity bar). He still seems 'unfriendly'. Ditto Justin.

And, could you move the button on the relationships button to the left corner, so that the average popularity bar is lined up better with all of the others?

And - here's a mad idea - if you do rat on Doreen, perhaps she could threaten revenge via e-mail.

in the last version the reading bug fixed its self after about a month of playing with her sitting on her arse. i dont know if that will still happen. i didnt have the patience 2 keep playing this time. i just reset the game.

Haven't found any new bugs, but I came up with an idea while a-playing, and tis probably quite bad, but you never know...

If you're in your room between 6pm and midnight, there is a chance, modified by your overall popularity (yet still quite low) that "you'll get a knock on the door. It's someone asking you if you want to go to the bar." If you say Yes, you obviously end up in the bar, if not, you carry on with whatever you're doing. It might be pertinant to put in some code to stop that happening anymore than once a day/week/whatever, because while occasionly might add spice, too often will just piss off people.

While I recognise that this alone is a large hunk of programming, I just thought it might be interesting. Have random little events like that come up to keep players on their toes.

Nobody else seems to be doing this, but since you asked...

- played as a woman, saved game before the last day to get as many different endings as possible
Career path: engineering
Your rank at end of game: Captain/Hero (I think)
Who you married (if anyone): Richard/Justin/David/Wendy/Gloria
Medals received (if any): all
Outcome of away missions: successful
Any notable events: I don't quite understand what is meant here
Your ending: 1/2/3

Bugs found: the reading bug, jumping between levels in Engineering
Suggestions for better gameplay: more hotspots, descriptions, dialogue options... probably some more random events since the game does get a little boring towards the end. I'd also like the possibility to choose berth upgrades: so that each object can be bought independently. Somebody playing as a medic would naturally choose the desk first, a soldier would prefer the bike etc.
