1. Search Google for monkeys in tuxedos.

2. Search MSN Search (beta) for the same.

You will notice that with Google, Jacques' article "A New World Order" is listed second. WIth MSN, however, it is not listed at all.

Therefore, Google wins.

I just like Google's image search. It's far better than any other image search I've tried to use.

And the uncensored option for image searches? WUNDERFUL!

No one needs any proof that Google is better than MSN Search. They've been the most-used search engine for years now.

So you don't think Microsoft could make a better search engine? I read somewhere that Google accounts for 40% of all net searches, probably because people are too lazy to move from their msn.com homepage before searching for something.

I don't think Microsoft can make a better anything. They've proven time and time again that they're notorious for releasing incomplete software, and taking forever to patch it. XP has been out how long now, and we're still fixing it on a weekly basis? My point is that Microsoft only has as much control over the computer industry that they do, because people are so comfortable with Windows. Switching to Linux-based systems is definitely not for the average user, and Macs are outrageously expensive for the most part. So there isn't much of an alternative to the average Joe computer user. MSN Search launched without much of a hubub, that I was aware of, whereas every time Google comes out with something new, it's all over every Tech site or publication. I think Google has the search corner of the internet pretty well cornered.

I've never had a debate with myself on which search engine is best. I've used Ask, yahoo and google. I always get almost the same thing as the others, the only difference I saw was the search results were in a different order. I usually use google, but that's only because I have the toolbar on my browser.

Same here. I tend to go the easy route, which means Google, IE, Outlook and WinXP. Sure, I know there are better alternatives out there, but I have no idea how to work the majority of them, and for the most part don't have many problems with what I use.
