Here's my rendition of the love scene from AOTC.

--Shouldn't this be posted in the Screening Room?

Anyway, since we're talkin AOTC:

Easter Egg - On the main options screen type in the following numbers: 8-15-22-1-18-4-20-8-5-4-21-3-11 - or H-O-W-A-R-D-T-H-E-D-U-C-K - to see some incredibly rare footage of George Lucas giving a real-life human actor some bad directions.

------------

I'm not kidding by the way.

Also if you type in the following code: P-A-R-S-I-V-A-L, you get a special video of George Lucas giving secret nazi instructions to bomb synagogues and burn crosses in german...

The only excuse that i can come up with as to why the dialogue in the fireplace scene was so toe curlingly awful was that Lucas wanted it improvised to add a more realistic feel to the scene or god knows what.

"I wish I could just wish away my feelings" (italics are mine)

If a 16 year old handed in an essay with that line in it, it'd have both "wish"s underlined and a "see me" in red pen.

Perhaps if they had cut back on -sigh- Yoda's fight scenes they might have been able to afford a little trick I use occasionally- A thesaurus.

You know dialogue is really terrible when even Jariten describes it as 'toe-curlingly awful'. wink.gif

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

That's good stuff man.

ANAKIN: "Paddy, I LONG for you..."
PADME: "You WHAT for me?"
ANAKIN: "I LONG for you..."
PADME: "You mean being me causes you to have an ere-"
ANAKIN: "Uh... yes, that's kind of what I meant."
PADME: "Are you really LONGING for me or are you LONGING for ME?"
ANAKIN: "Oh yes, I am LONGING for you and YOU alone."
PADME: "My, you must be LONGING."
ANAKIN: "I am LONGING. I've gotten so LONG that it's becoming very unpleasant for me to be this LONG. We're talking LONG here, Paddy."
PADME: "That sounds pretty LONG to me."
ANAKIN: "It is LONG."
PAMDE: "How much longer can you remain LONG?"
ANAKIN: "Not for much longer... it's really becoming unbearable to be this LONG."
