Yo, sign me up wink.gif

On a more debatable subject, I'm really enjoying the latest C&T comics, and the guesties. Especially loving Angular Mike presenting the news.

Please excuse this lame attempt at bringing life into the forums.

I like crisps, and dislike Duke Nukem, so this cult sounds good to me.

I have a tube of crisps, will that do?

(Also: I have one to send in, but it'll be another week or so before I can. Curse my lack of a scanner!)
Check out my crappy drawings!

I have custard creams and Wotsits, and I think Duke Nuken was fine as a 2D platformer. Hell, sign me up...

The forums are quite dead, really, but you can't say I haven't been trying...

Angular Mike was presenting the news in 5 Days A Stranger too, although it was rather hard to tell.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.

I've got a pack of Oreos, a tube of rash cream, and a deep, burning hatred for delays.

I've got some old tortilla chips lying around. They are in a big bag, so that should count for something. And I'm sick of waiting for a new Duke Nukem. The first one was fun, second one always froze my computer, and 3D kicked some ass. But really... Why are they still trying...

I remember seeing Angular Mike in 5 Days, but I don't think I recognized him at the time... Wasn't 5 Days before Angular Mike? Could that TV scene have inspired the whole comic? Or is my memory just shite?

I'm not certain, but Mike worked at McDonalds in the comic, so it would be more likely that 5 Days came later.

Angular Mike came long before 5 Days, because even I'd been here long enough to see in the latter, and came in very late for the former.

I did notice Mike on both tellys, but didn't give it much notice. He's gotta get his money somehow nowadays.

I'm starting to agree about Duke.

I mean, I'm all for game developers having the balls to continue work on their project until its perfected as a lovingly-crafted well-polished fully functioning piece of software (or art?) rather than being pressured into releasing any old bug-ridden identikit crap as long as it makes money. And even though I know Duke will never live up to the idea of this legendary mysterious uber-game that its been hyped up by some to be over the years, I think the game will probably be good in itself - ignoring the everyone's built-up preconceptions.

However,

Eight years?! Its a bit long isnt it. They could have made a lot of other good games in that time instead.

Nope, only came along in August-September last year. Although that does class as "long time" nowadays...

I've got a packet of rich tea biscuits and some Jelly Babies. And some gummi bears. Yeah.

I seem to recall several other Duke games after 3D - Planet of the Babes and Manhatten Project. And a weird one about time travel. All I think were third person and (correct me if I'm wrong) considered shite.

Anyway, wasn't 3D realms involved in the Max Payne games? There's a far better concept to work with.

Those games were developed my a whole other company, I think they call themselves "N-Space" or something like that. 3D Realms just published those games.

"Duke Nukem: Time To Kill" wasn't actually that bad, I played through the whole thing and enjoyed it.

Fair go.

I don't think the third person perspective did it any favours. Although I am greatly skeptical of reviews, I failed to find one that considered them better than 3D.
