Hannibal, do you believe that if Hitler taught the German people to think, they would have hesitated before commiting genocide on the Jews? Hitler was just rationalizing his agenda to the thoughtless sheep.
George Bush is manipulating the sheep population to feel as he does and to support him and his government (this is done through propaganda, which itself is written by people who know how to control others). If there isn't any way to teach people to think and care, the second best option is to 'guide' them into supporting a better society and government.

On a side note, isn't it fun to pretend that Hannibal actually said things in order to provoke thought instead of irritate people?
