[COLOR=red] i was web surfing in regards to "end time events" as related to the bible...i wont go into the "satanic" double meaning in the star wars movies, however a minister stated that on the national cathedral in washington d.c. there is a gorgyle head on the building that is a replica of darth vaders helmut...at first i though this to be made up, however as a starfleet officer , i must investigate as capt picard would say "truth" is a officers first duty...well i google search and yes indeed it is true...below is information...for whay ever purpose it may serve...mr hannible i have read your posting about the nazi input into SW...what is your take on this...i do not believe it to be innocent...however its not my purpose to win converts to jesus here...just to present things....again[SIZE=7]i did not know this to be until now...amazing this internet....end transmission...

As Washington National Cathedral approached completion, the west towers rose towards the sky, striking toward heaven. During the building a startling idea was hatched: hold a competition for children to design decorative sculpture for the Cathedral.

Word of the competition was spread nationwide through National Geographic World Magazine. The third-place winner was Christopher Rader, with his drawing of that fearful villain, Darth Vader. The fierce head was sculpted by Jay Hall Carpenter, carved by Patrick J. Plunkett and placed high upon the northwest tower of the Cathedral...

To Find Darth Vader you have to leave the building through the ramp entrance. This is located at the northwest corner of the nave, through the double wooden doors of Lincoln Bay. Go down the ramp, and step into the parking lot. Then, turn around and look back up at the tower closest to you. He is almost impossible to see without the assistance of binoculars.

Way way way up, almost at the top of the tower is a gablet, or small peaked roof, located between the two huge louvered arches. At the bottom of each slope of this gablet is a carved grotesque. Darth Vader is on the north, or right-hand, side. There is a carved skull situated on a gablet much closer to the ground which many people often mistake for Darth Vader. From this skull, Darth Vader is up and to the left. For more info see Darth Vader Self-Guided Tour.

I got to see that cathedral about a month ago on a school trip, and the Darth Vader head was pointed out to us. That makes me cooler than all of you.

I don't get it. I just do not see Darth Vader on the Cathedral. I would agree the Cathedral is probably evil, whether Darth Vader's head is on it or not, but this is silly, like the face on Mars. I just don't see it.

Hannibal, you need to surf that site a bit, and find a PDF image under the title "Darth Vader." There's no way to tell whether it's really on the cathedral, since it's an extreme closeup and could well be a spoof (Stongbah, you say you actually SAW this???). But it's certainly Darth Vader. It's not even something that looks like Darth Vader; it's a bust of Darth Vader. Take a look.

Unless you were being all Ironic and such.

In which case, yes yes of course.

Somebody's on crack, because Darth Vader's image hardly resembles anything from those pictures.

Look: its Christopher Walken's face on a tree stump!

Yeah I saw that too. And I am not pulling anyone's leg, although I don't think I'll gain any credibility by saying I ran out of film just before we got to see it.
