Yeah, that's pretty bad, and somehow, I'm not in the least bit surprised.

Actually, I am a little bit – I expected you to say four or five years.

Lone Bush vote in the Room.

Congratulations for the courage to admit that in a room held by Democrat supporters.

Seeing as we have heard a lot of arguments over the last few years against Bush, I would be curious to hear your reasoning behind supporting him.

We don't know yet. Right now, it's 2:39 AM, and from only being able to keep track of it all online, it's down to Nevada, New Mexico, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio. I hope Kerry gets those last three, they have more points to them...or whatever they're called. I think "points" is a rather appropriate term for it.

I give up. I'm going to bed. I've already been online for about five or six hours following this, and I've got class at 11:00 AM tomorrow.

EDIT: 2:44 AM

...Shit! Bush just got Nevada! That's another five points for him! I can't get off now! I have to see for myself how this ends, dammit!

DOUBLE EDIT:

Oooh! Kerry got Michigan! That's seventeen points!

Bush won. I mean he didn't officially win but he got Ohio and Florida, and he's up 269-238 with Nevada, Iowa, Wisconsin, and New Mexico too close to call, even though he's winning currently in 3 of those 4. So he won.

I really thought we'd see something. I thought people would go to the booths and show they weren't morons. But they are morons. They dig their own grave, only thing is, we have to be in it with em.

God dammit.

The important thing is that no matter who wins the interests of corporate America will be well represented. However they'll apparently be best represented by Bush, who will take the race as it stands unless Ohio has a recount.

Very, very depressing... and very, very dissappointing.

However, Movie Goer has a solution.

I noticed on the map on the MSN homepage that the states that voted for Bush are all the "Hick" states where the racist, mysoginist, uneducated dickweeds live ->

for example, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, etc....

And my solution is this - America should split into two countries ->

1. Hicksville.

2. The United States of Sanity

Get everyone who voted Democrats out of Hicksville first and then you can sit back and watch as it destroys itself.

JM... Nader was ON the ballot...

And you're sorely mistaken if Bush voters are going to change their minds when Bush ruins the country. They will find someone else to blame it on. After all, he's been screwing around for four years, and they've still practically re-elected him (pending Ohio recount).

What would things be like if the South had seceded in 1865?

He was actually off the ballot in a lot of states.

Precisely. They support Bush and voted for him for a reason, that's not going to change. Plus, hoping that the country (and the world) get screwed up more to prove a point is a pretty poor idea. Why would we wish death on innocent people just to say, "I told you so"?

Okay, it's a generalisation... but there's a high concentration of idiots in those places. One of my best mates comes from Florida and he says himself that apart from his mum and a few of his friends, the whole state is full of wankers.

I think everyone says that no matter where they are. My cousin and his family in Florida may think the same thing, but that puts your friend and his family in tho the "wanker" category.

Idiots are everywhere and geography holds very little influence over their specific population density.

Idiocy is a general quality of most of the human race.

Judging by the closeness of voter percentages (all of those 48-52s and such), in the states, there are idiots everywhere. And that can apply to either side, depending on who you like.
