In an effort to provide an outlet for politics/sex/religion talk I have opened a new forum here: Debate Club.

I've moved a few popular debates there already. This should also keep the Lobby clean of such discussion for those of you who are not interested in debating such things.

That's a good idea... and thank you. It was really nice to come to the Lobby and see that the Society thread had "miraculously" disappeared. For myself, however, I think I'll steer clear of the Debate Forum because I think I get too fired up about a few certain topics. I'll stay in the Lobby and the Star Wars forum where it's nice and safe. smile.gif

The Starwars forum is by no means safe. Hence, I keep my forays there to a minimum.

The new forum is great, isn't it? It's like adding a new office building to the company's property, except you don't have to look at dirty construction workers!

And you don't have to go in the new building ever if you don't want to! biggrin.gif

Despite all common sense, I ventured into the new building just before. Fortunately, I haven't got into trouble... yet. wink.gif

I, for one, stand opposed to the very idea of a seperate forum for debate! Debate should be free to spring up anywhere...right?

It can spring up anywhere, but this is for people looking for a fight.

Tough luck if you don't like it. Take it up with the people who cause such problems that necessitated its existence.
I like the idea of having it because I, for one, don't like seeing the areas designated for friendly discussion turn into neverending arguments that stretch on for pages and pages at a time over a period of several weeks. It gets frustrating, tiresome, and detracts from the otherwise light-hearted atmosphere of the forum.

I for one got that Creux was joking. Hooray for irony!

Any reason why the fast reply button isn't in the new forum?

Ahh, nice catch. I will remedy that.
