It's dinner time. I've cooked my brother and I some Ramen noodles, because I was engrossed in the 5th season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which came out on DvD yesterday. I fix myself a bowl, and a bowl for Michael, and go back to the couch to watch Buffy. A few minutes later Michael comes back with his soup, seemingly innocent enough, and sits down on the other couch, watching TV. Something didn't seem right. I shrugged it off, and focused my attention back to Buffy. But then a few minutes later, it comes to me. And I look back to Michael, and his bowl of soup.

Me: Michael. Why the hell are you eating your soup with a fork?

Michael (In a high pitched, whiny voice): I always eat my soup with a fork!

Me: .....Since when?

Michael: I always do! It just slips off if I use a spoon.

Me: ~long pause~ .....Get your ass up and get a spoon, right now.

Michael: No! I can't eat it with a spoon! ~close to tears~

Me: ~begins to say something, then thinks better of it. Shakes her head and gives her brother one last look of pity, and returns her gaze to Buffy.~

I'd edit your post to include a poll, but I can't. So I'll just say that I eat ramen noodles with a fork, and then drink the broth. Like spaghetti.

I too eat ramen noodles and spaghetti with a fork, but naturally my spaghetti doesn't actually include "broth" that you can drink.

I guess there's a good chance Ninja Duck was joking there.

I picked up the Buffy Season Five. There are many episodes there I have never seen. Most of them, really; I think I've only seen the last three and then the occasional one in between. I watched eight episodes last night (seven actually, but I skipped one that I'd seen) and I have to say, the sooner they end this Riley story the better. What a drip. If I hadn't come to this show late, and if I thought he might be a permanent character, I might be reasy to give up altogether. As it is, I've seen season seven, and much of six, and I know he's gone. So that is a thing I am waiting for.

I've seen every episode of Buffy made. I cannot stand Riley. Not many can. Personally, Spike was always my favorite Buffy boyfriend. Just the right combination of naughty and sweet to make for an interesting character. My favorite episodes were the last ones of season 6, where Willow went evil. Those were awesome! biggrin.gif And the series finale was pretty decent. I love how they brought Spike back on Angel. And I have been hearing rumors that SMG is going to make an appearance on Angel soon, but who knows. dry.gif

Got to say that I much preferred the bad Spike. I liked him much more as a character. Having said that I thought it was a very cool use of the character in the finale. I just had a little trouble with his disposition once he got his soul back.

There are two vampires that have regained their souls. Angel and Spike.

Angel before he became a vampire was an absolute bastard and when he back a vamp with no soul the most vicious vamp to have ever walked the earth.

Spike before he became a vampire was and insipid little mothers boy who wrote poetry and had no confidence. When he became a vamp with no soul he earned a rep that rivalled Angel's.

Angel when his soul was returned was crushed with the guilt of his actions and the pain he had caused and thus began to walk the path of redemption.

Spike when his soul was returned seemed to have no ill effects from his century of killing and maiming.

Now for my mind of the two that would have been more crushed with the return of their souls it should have been Spike. Yet this is not the case. It appears that only the sensitive part of his soul that has a thing for Buffy was returned - and let's face it, that was already there because he already had this infatuation with Buffy. On the same line of thinking one would have thought that Angel should have still been his self-centred individual as he didn't mind hurting people before he was embraced.

I still love the series, but this is just one inconsistency that really bothered me.

Vamp Willow if definitely my favourite Willow incarnation, however :-)

Willow is one of my favorite characters. Truthfully, I liked her best with Oz. Her and Tara were okay, but I do not like her and Kennedy. Kennedy just seems too self-centered and bossy to be Willow's type. I think Willow and Xander would have been nice, had Anya never came into the picture.

I get your inconsistancy with the vampires with souls thing. But I still like Spike and Buffy together, and I like Spike with a soul. I like him fighting on the good side of things, but he still has that sharp wit and twisted humor and love of violence to go along with it. Now that he's on Angel, I enjoy the rivalry between the two.

One person that we should be seeing more of soon on Angel is Willow. She is already contracted for a few guest appearances. Plus, one would expect it, considering she is engaged to Alexis Denisof, the guy that plays Wesley. I am not sure if they have gotten married or not yet.
