What is your most favorite kind of sandwich?

I'm torn between either a ham sandwich on cheese-bread, a Cheesewhiz sandwich, or a tuna sandwich.

I hate Tuna. Even saying the words agitates my gag reflex.

Anyway, i think i would exalt Grilled Cheese sandwiches over all others. Peanut Butter (the smooth kind... i'm a pussy) sandwiches - with as much margerine as peanut butter - are like flavour explosions.
Not really a sandwich, but i sure do love Meatball subs.

I had a tender crisp chicken sandwich at Burger King last night. It rocked righteous.

Jif Peanut Butter & (some french brand- save the jar for "go" cocktail) blueberry preserves on Pepperidge farm sourdough for homemade. mmmm.

Jill sadwitches? Never heard of them.

Usually, I'm slack, and make sadwitches with mayonaise and sweet spiced gerkin.

My mate downstairs eats nothing but ham and mayonnaise sandwiches. Apart from a six inch high plateful of food at dinner. Its comically scary.

What I'd love more than anything, is a good slice of cheese on toast, what some may called a grilled cheese sandwich. Grated chedder cheese, just the right sort of white bread (not thin and manky, but thick and padded, if you know what I mean) gently toasted in a troaster first, then with the cheese added. Then the worster sauce, then put it under the grill until its oozing off of the bread. Divine.

Meatball sandwiches are just that-sandwiches. Subs are sandwiches. As far as subs go, the Italian (hard salami, pepper ham, provelone, lettuce, onions and tomatoes, vinegar and oil, salt, pepper, roegano) is REAL though to beat. Meatball sandwisches with parmesagn and mozzzerella, or spicy italian sausage and pepper sandwiches work pretty well, too. As far as non-Italian sandwiches go, a reuben is pretty damn good (although I don't care for the 1000 islands sauce), as is a good corned beef sandwich. Sandwiches on bagels are also often quite yummie. I;'d suggest putting ham, roast beef, and salami on a bagel, have it with a touch of mayo, lettuce and onion, some tomatoe, and that's another great sandwich.

I'll have to agree with Reader and Chyld. I'm all about the grilled cheese, especially if it's made with cheddar. Every now and then I'll splurge on one of those fancy schmantsy mozzarella/basil/tomato sandwiches they serve in some of the coffee shops.

Good old peanut butter and jelly is nice every once in a while and I'm a big fan of peanut butter toast.

I've never been much of a sandwich person myself. Any love for them I have pretty much starts and stops with peanut butter and grape jelly, or just peanut butter, since jelly doesn't quite do it for me anymore these days.

I remember having to eat peanut butter and jelly for lunch everyday at school until I was ten, then I got so sick of them I couldn't make myself touch another one for about seven years.
Check out my crappy drawings!

The same thing happened with me and Bologna with mustard sandwiches.

My dad, step-mom, sister and I all went on a vacation to New Brunswick. My dad was not very good at making lunches, so the only thing he packed us were... bologna and mustard sandwiches. We had them for the 2 day drive on the way there, and for the 2 day drive on the way back.

I still can't taste those sandwiches anymore. And this trip was a good 10 years ago.

How does one pick a favorite sandwich. It's like picking a favorite child, every parent has one but they can't go admitting it!

Eh...grilled cheese is OK and all...mayne it's 'cause I was overexposed to them at my former college's cafeteria. One of the few things that didn't nauseate and frighten.

If anyone can get into New Jersey or Pittsburgh, I'll make ya a sandwich. That offer stands.
