Well, a few problems I encountered...
-Again, the store didn't work
-In the engineering bay, the first elevator would rarely let me back up...kept waying I was too far away from the button or some such nonsence
-FOr the repairman job, every other time I went down there some meanie was in my way so I had to reload the area
-There should be a way to see what movies are playing without having to see one, 'cause I'm a nerd like that
-It's fun reading a book in the lunge, 'cause that's something I might do. I also love being in there at 7 AM whenever only the drunk guy's there. Perhaps therecould be a way for NPCs to wander about? It increaces my sense of POWER when I can hold people around me against their will.

Yahtzee,
First of all hi great games sure you've heard it all b4 so i wont bore you with more fan worship.I will however ask you a question which is probabaly just as annoying.

Is there supposed to be sound in the P12 game?
Do you regulary update the community here on your current projects?
Do you need any beta testers for current projects if so im willing to help!

And Finally

Could you release more of your recent productions which are still in beta?

Thanks
Darknight01

Does anybody want me to post a long winded introduction if so just ask!

This is the first time I've released an alpha version, and I did it because I wasn't sure whether I should continue making the game or not. Frankly, I'm more inclined not to. Errors keep popping up everywhere and the code has become far too long-winded and complicated to make head or tail of.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.

Murdering people doesn't work. They just go "See you later".

Yes, yes, I never got around to programming that, either.

Heya DarkKnight.

If I get this right, Yahtzee is working on a new adventure game featuring Trilby, from his 5 Days a Stranger. Apparently its gonna be a 'pure' adventure, free from the horror and gore of the last two games.

And also, Yahtzee is born and bred English, currently living in Australia.

That's all pukka right? If I've got something wrong there, feel free to make a skipping rope out of my intestines.

Thanks For Replying Dark Comet!
I don't suppose you know if Yahtzee has revealed the plot of his new game? I hope your a theif if it's not a horror game. One thing i wanted people's opinions on is if you think Yahtzee should implement the Hunger/Energy/Fitness etc bars from P12 into his new games. Depending on whats actually happening i think they should be put in unless theres a reason not to have them say it's level based or something where you don't spend much time. As for Yahtzee being English thats good too im a brit aswell.

Yahtzee
Do you mind if i post a link to P12 on the Gamehippo Forums?

As long as you make it quite clear that it probably won't be finished at any time.

Evening all. Just a couple of questions for Mr Yahtzee. I've played most of your (completed) games, and enjoyed them very much, although 7 days did drive me up the wall for a couple of days. I've seen a couple of your articles (Guybrush Threepwood, Garrett) and I was wondering if there were any other games (Professional or otherwise) you recommended. Ta.

Oh, and have you seen Shaun of the dead?

Yeah, I thought so. I was a big 'Spaced' fan though. But I appreciated the way they still had the horror movie gore in it. It was great when Dylan Moran got eaten.

Because this topic has grown to encompass both 7 Days a Skeptic and 5 Days a Stranger (and possibly because my post count is so dreadfully low), I'll post my opinions on them.

First of all, great storyline for 5 Days, Yatz. Progression sometimes gave me goosebumps and the dismal feeling of not-wanting-to-complete-this-game-because-I-won't-be-able-to-sleep-at-night-but-I-just-gotta. I particularly loved the music that played in the cellar, especially in that I didn't immediately dig up the dirt and was wondering around the mansion with the music sounding and repeating...

7 Days a Skeptic was also good, don't get me wrong, but I loved 5 Days the most. I certainly hope you will finish and release this new adventure game starring Trilby. One suggestion (which I'm sure you're already implementing) I have is that I would really like to be able to fully utilize Trilby's thief skills.

Thanks,

-Ben (OneWithStrange)
