Technically my first experience was an episode of Muppet Babies which had a parody of Star Wars.My first experience with a movie would probably be watching Return of the Jedi on TV around Christmas. U didn't really pay attention too much but I remember seeing the sarlacc pit scene while making a ginger bread house and Endor at a Christmas party. In Christmas of '97 my mom bought the "special" edition box set and I was in love, as i didn't know how horrible it was.

I first saw a Star Wars film (Return of the Jedi) at the age of 15, on a crowded, noisy coach on the way to a skiing holiday in Austria. Unsurprisingly, I don't remember much about it - not the best introduction to the films, really. The only bits I remember are the musical bit in Jabba's palace (it was the SE) and the ending.

A couple of years later I rented Episode IV from the video library at my college, thinking I'd see what all the fuss was about - well, I thought it was mildly amusing, but I couldn't see what was so incredible about it. I also saw the prequels and thought they were awful. Then eventually I played KOTOR, and I suddenly had a thirst for all things Star Wars - so I went back and watched the OT again, and this time I realised what everyone saw in it.

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.
