Wasn't there a Jet Li movie that was built around this theory?

To the tune of the chorus from Waltzin Matilda:

Strange Dimensional Vortex Man,
Strange Dimensional Vortex Man,
Ripping the fabric of time and space,
If you think that this song is culturally insignificant,
This dude defided physics,
In your face!

Sorry, random song that likely nobody would know. But I couldn't help myself.

If you like kittens, check out Rathergood.com. The funniest flash animations I've seen for a while, and there are some really funny kitten vids.

Some of his stuff is great. I was calling myself War Chinchilla Pirate Child Amigo awhile back.

One version I heard says that it is the act of opening the box that kills or saves the kitten. As it is neither dead or alive if the box is not opened, then it must be the act of opening that either kills it or saves it. Or, to quote Mr Pratchett, "You are either looking at an angry radioactive ball of fur, or a contender for this year's Sad Contest"

amber: if we replace the kitten with a tarntula, it's still a cute ball of fluffy adorableness to me.
everyone: i can't believe i started the science debate board. wow.
that jet li thing i was avoiding mentioning, because of that obvious argument of godlike grandads. the simple fact remains that although an infinite number of universes have collapsed, there would still be an infinite number of universes containing old people with no power. in those universes, the only difference might be a star exploding on the other side of the universe, so no effect upon said old people. which means there are still a large amount (again, possibly an infinite amount) of universes where the lights get snuffed out of these old folks at the same moment, so they all die at the same time therefore no godliness. jet li achieved his through murder, and given how many universes there should be, could never have accomplished what he thought he had.

science fact of the day: when you are born, the doctor has exactly the same amount of gravitic pull upon you as jupiter.

The One actually states a finite number of universes, so as to make it possible for him to travel between them all and murder them. This leads to the powerful grandparents problem. But if we were to assume infinite universes, there would be infinite universeses, then no matter how many univereses we kill you off in, you still alive in an infinite number of universes(as infinity is a subset of infinity), and thus you wouldn't become super-powered as you grew older. Unless of course you happen to live in one of the infinite universes in which you become superpowered as you grow older.

I would like to express my sympathy for Yahtzee's financial and medical woes, something I am very familiar with.

I would also like to say that that the advertising on these sites doesn't exactly make me a rich man. It just begins to curb some of the cost of hosting these sites.

So, you know, I am in the same boat as my boy Yahtz, and not some rich New York mega-corporation.

That is all... carry on. rolleyes.gif

One theory that has to do with quantam physics I formed after watching this episode of Outer Limits at 6 AM. For their to be an infinite number of universes, there also has to be an infinite number of multiverses too. Because in some universes someone would design a quantam mirror to go to and from universes, and there would be one universe where someone would travel to and fro this universe. Of course then there is the possibility of someone making a super dooper quantam mirror which travels outside the multiverse, which means there would be multimulti verses, multimultimulti verses, and so on.

I should stop basing scientific theories off shitty TV.

But you can't travel outside the multiverse. Unless I'm mistaken, the multiverse is by definition the collection of infinite univereses, and as it contains everything that can possibly exist, the only thing not a part of the multiverese is nothing, which in itself has to be something, and hence part of the multiverse.

Edit: Also, I would like to apologise for the spelling/grammatical errors in my last post. I was very tired at the time, but thats no excuse. Re-reading it left me rather disgusted at myself.

Whos to say there are no ultraverses, containing an infinite number of universes?
