Just figured I'd post in case anyone's interested. There a decent number of spoilers in there, and one in particular which I think is interesting.

SPOILER: It says that after fighting valiantly in the Clone Wars, Palpatine gets Skywalker a seat on the Jedi council, and Skyalker becomes torn between the Jedi Council and Palpatine. What do you guys think of this, just as a story idea, and not necessarily as it relates to the rest of the PT. I'm not sure whether or not I like it.

Also, on an unintentionally humorous note, apparently in Episode III Anakin's "moody and volatile ways frighten the young senator" referring to Amidala. So 2 years of marriage, and she's just noticing this now? And this is Leia's mother, Leia, a vigilant, don't take shit from anybody, fesity young woman, while her mother is taking all thsi crap from Anakin? That's just terrible.

Did you read about R2 getting into a fight with other droids? I really think I might have contracted stupid after reading that.

Oh so that was how it read to you too huh. I thought maybe they meant something else, but yeah, I think anyone who reads that has to contract stupid. Hell anyone who reads most of the stuff about the prequels has to.

You're kidding, right? Like, with Battlebots announcers? Now, young Annie entering R2 in a fight to win the freedom to be a podracer would be interesting.

You can't be serious... And with those magically disappearing boosters he can probably imitate the Yoda sequence... What teh fuck is wrong with Lucas?

"Gee, I made Yoda fight, next I think I'll do R2D2 and then I'll have C3PO get in a back-alley brawl with someone. And after that Jabba versus that creature on Hoth!"

Ok this is a plot hole for two reasons.

Anakin has no loyalty to the Jedi council. He hates Obi Wan like a father (or something) and he slaughters innocents and screws women in his spare time. Loyal Jedi he is not.

Anakin ALSO has no loyalty to friggin Palpatine because they've only spoken to eachother twice. And how does a politician (who Jedi are weary of) dictate who gets to be on the council?

Anakin has only two loyalties. One to the lightsaber on his belt and the other to the lightsaber in his pants. One of which is probably in his hands more than the other.

I guess this will be a let down for simple reasons.

There's just far too much to cram into this episode for it to be emotionally effective or be a fitting lead up to the originals.

1.the detioration of anakins relationship with obi wan has to be portrayed well.

2. the clone wars have to rage on and be concluded, and some character called general grievous (?), commander cody and some damn wookies will feature and have lots of battles on different planets before it ends. the separatists will also have to be shown to be the rebels. the clones will also have to turn.

3. palpatine has to feature prominately and effectively towards anakin and the senate. He will also have to reveal himself as a sith lord to everyon and kill mace windu in an epic way so he doesn't go out "like a punk".

4. all that mystery stuff from episode II like syfo dyas and count dooku etc etc have to be gotten rid of without annoying anyone and reminding you of its worthlessness.

5. the jedi purge and the fall of the republic and rise of the empire has to be shown well and over a reasonable time period and scale, the epic duel between master and apprentice in anakin and obi wan on a far off planet, anakin being recovered from a burning pit by palpatine and reconstructed as vader. yoda will apparantly battle palpatine in a lightsabre fight in the jedi temple, likewise anakin with count dooku.

6. padme dying and the twins being born and being separated

7. everyone fleeing to planets obi wan, bail organa, yoda etc

There's probably some more stuff, but that alone is WAY too much to get in there. This episode will be just like Return of the jedi except with CG and luke will turn to the darkside. Pisses me off cos I hoped the action set pieces would be toned way down for the emotional impact this episode is supposed to have for the rest of the series kinda like Empire but darker.

That's just insane. I'd sooner give Jar Jar Binks a seat on the Council than Anakin - at least he isn't a murderous psychopath. And why the hell would Palpatine have any say in it?

You don't say? And only a couple of years after he wiped out an entire village in a fit of pique? rolleyes.gif Yet another character who comes across as a complete moron because of Lucas's insistence on using the Sand People plot.
QUOTE
The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

QUOTE
Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

That's kind of like Yoda's little display of a slow mind...

"Hm, you've just started a war and killed many jedi knights. I may be going out on a limb here (please don't get offended) but I sense the dark side in you, Count Dooku."

*ALSO - nice to see you again, Helena. Have you made the big move yet?

Yoda farting. R2 fighting. Padme "finally" noticing Anakin's pyschotic after two years. Three good reasons as any to pass on Episode Three.
