Phone Numbers Remain On Horses After Hurricanes
Wednesday, September 29, 2004

A woman in Brevard County, Fla., took extreme measures to ensure her horses would be returned if they became lost during Hurricane Jeanne, according to Local 6 News.

Rancher Renee Wallace painted phone numbers on the horses in case they were found wandering in the county or were blown away by the storm's strong winds.

"The number is that if they get out on the roads or the highways, they can identify them and call the number to get them picked up or if there's a death to notify the owner that there's been a problem," Wallace said.

Wallace hopes she is able to take the phone numbers off the horses soon, as long as there are no more hurricanes headed to Central Florida.

The headline sounds more interesting that the story ends up being. I think the headline implies that the hurricane was somehow responisble. That would be awesome.

I agree. I thought this story involved an address book, a tube of krazy glue, and strong winds. What a gip! Now if someone would paint above the number "For a bucking good time call:" then THAT would be sensational.

I read the title as 'rain' rather then 'remain', and was wondering what the hell the thread was about. I was dissapointed sad.gif
