Don't know about that. But did you guys ever play Moonstone on the Amiga? That was simple, but brilliant. I always went the Yellow Knight.

I remember moonstone (still play it now and then, PC version's available), full of unhealty holy grail style deaths, and a bloody huge dragon that tended to home in on me!

Always went the green knight who hung out in the forest, mainly for the cheap xp from the furry ball things. Bit easy to complete these days.

Never could get the hang of those lion things though.

The lion things were easy when they were one at a time, so its good to take them out early in the game. The dragon is easy, if you know what to do. If you stand close he tries to eat you, at mid distance he does a diagonal flame burst, and far away he will do a horizontal one. If you stand at the mid-far distance, he will do the diagonal attack, but not be able to hit you. So try to keep there, running back and forward to lure him into lowing his head, then run forward and attack. Many magical goodies(and a great deal of XP)will be yours.

Everything was easy when it's one at a time, the problem was when you started to gain XP, the on screen enemies multiply. Best to save the big monsters (Ogres, crazy mud\tree things) until last. Which never happened in multiplayer, and then you got splattered by the elemental thing at the end.

Never did work out exactly what a talisman of teh wyrm did, I assumed it was damage resistance or something....

Its supposed to make the Dragon easier to kill somehow, though I'm not sure on the specifics. The elemental thing was hard, how I hated that. And I actually found the ogres, giants and mudmonsters to be the easier enemies in the game. The dark knights were the hardest. I had to put it in four player mode, then kill off the other players, as I just couldn't beat the knights.

The black knights? Easy. Run up and down the screen until they take a swing 9and miss, then take a swing yourself. Dumbass walks right into it. Repeat.

Or If you're really sneaky, boost you endurance like mad and keep out running them, They get bored and go collect treasure for you.

What happened to the shadowrun games (Megadrive\Snes) ? The were great at the time, I would have expected an update by now. I know microsoft bought all the fasa rights before they went under, but all they make is mechwarrior.

I don't know if it's that old, but the arcade Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time game rocked. I was at Chuck-E-Cheeses once for a birthday party (I was about 8) and I beat it. I must've put $20 into that thing. I was so obsessed with beating it that I missed the kid's happy birthday song.

Thread's worth a stick, otherwise I might keep bumping it (until the Uni/mod catches on and bans me from this website anyway).Gives us geek-survivoirs somewhere to hide.

TMNT? 4 player sideways scrolling fighting? If it is I'd have to agree to it's classic status. Konami produced that and the simpsons one I think. Happy sprite apocalypse violence goodness!

Guilty of devouring my allowence though...

I'll sticky it if it needs it, but the topic is thriving on it's own merit. Fallout was stickied so as to increase it's awareness and promote the amount of replies it deserved(as Barend and myself were the only ones who went there). This topic is popular as it is, and never drops below the top five.

Anyone ever play much of Desert Strike? I've played a bit of Jungle and Urban Strikes, but they just didn't hold up to Desert.

Grabbing a copy of the manual helps out as well. I remember back on my Amiga I killed the elemental, but couldn't work out what to actually do with the moonstone.

It worked when I downloaded it, but it had a tendancy to freeze the computer.
