I favour either Samus or Sheik, though I like Ganondorf.

Sam and Max was brilliant, but Flight of the Amazon Queen wasn't all that funny. It was well made, but the humour was seriously lacking. Day of the Tentacle was much better.

With Monkey Island, I'd have to partially disagree. I think Le Chucks Revenge wasn't that great, but that may be because I hated the ending. I can't see why so many people hate Escape. I thought it was brilliantly done. The humour and puzzels were well thought out.

For that matter, I also love Grim Fandango.

I didn't really like Metroid Prime at all. Too much backtracking and scanning for my likes. Also, maybe because I was sick of the high praise I kept hearing about it... whatever. tongue.gif I'm not that fond of it.

I enjoyed the hell out of Metroid Prime. But I'm on the edge of my seat, waitng for that new Zelda. I bet it will kick up Gamecube in the gaming charts.

Regardless of how much I love it, the Gamecube will never be very high because it is a specialist console. It brings out a small number of good, quality games rather then the broad range of (mostly)rubbish on the other consoles. As such, the general gamer who just wants a racing game, or The Sims, will get a PS2 or an XBox, and hence the majority of sales will go there. Nintendo's being squeezed out of the market. Although it's still hanging in there at the moment, chances are it will soon go the way of Sega.

As to the backtracking in Metroid, I don't mind it. It's strange, usually I hate it, but it's not so bad there. In most games backtracking is nothing more then a pain in the ass, but in some(Eternal Darkness and Resident Evil come to mind as well as Metroid Prime/2)it helps build up the atmosphere and the feeling of imersion in a real world.

I never got around to finishing Morrowind. I'm head of the Fighters, Theives and Mages guilds, House Redoran and the Imperial Dragoons. I'm highest rank possible in the imperial cult, second top in the temple and middling in the Morag Tong. I didn't bother much with the main storyline.

Sime: How did you become the head of opposing guilds? Arent the Morag Tong the organization that hates the Thieves' Guild? Also, Morrowind is one of the greatest games I've ever played.

How could I have forgotten Streets of Rage 3?! An 8 foot tall robot, a kid on roller skates, a kick boxer, a woman who also kicks ass, and as secret characters the kangaroo and the Ninja guy from the first level! Awexome...

I still have to buy Metroid Prime 2 *pouts*. And Eternal Darkness was awe inspiring as well. You didn't backtrack, really. It was more of a ... you know, if you've played it. I don't want to give away plot elements here.

i had eternal darkness! completed that on all colours! (cant remember the demons names, so i'll jus' say 'colours') Morrowind is crazy, its quite hard to get into straight away, coz your character sucks, and you could die from like a bird! but it is fun, i killed the trader and the pawnbroker in Balmora and stole all their stuff, now i have loads of enchanted weapons, and loadsa money, witch i used to pay the guards for my crimes (36gold each) lol! so that 72gold, for makin tonnes of money, and bein equipped to the max! worth it, kaching! devil.gif <-- me

Yeah, I'm building up a guy until I can kill everything I see. The good deeds are only a guise. You got away with murder and shoplifting for only 36 gold? That is a feat...

The theives guild is against the Cammona Tong, who you can't join. The Morag Tong is the legalised assasins guild.

Eternal Darkness is the greatest game ever. The red was Ch'turga(mind spelling), the blue was Ulyoth, and the green was Xelo'tath. The Purple one was Mantarok. Like I said, mind the spelling. I've finished the game about 6 times, I love it that much.

That has the Baldur's Gate subtitle on it right?
Baldur's gate was on the PC first.
Is Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube?

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem is on the Game Cube, but has nothing to do with Baldur's Gate(which is also awesome). ED is set in a mansion in Rhode Island in 2000, where the young lady Alex Roivas is investigating the murder of her grandfather. She finds a hidden study with a book made from human skin and bone. As she sits down to read it, every chapter of the tome becomes a level. And so the player fights through various conflicts through the past two millenium as they try to save humanity from the ancients.

Very similar to HP Lovecrafts Call of Cuthulu.

I thought Call of Cuthulu wasn't out yet. I have wanted to play that and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for a long time now. Especially S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
