Pitfall was great, I had it on my 2600. But this Joystick based unit is amazing. The games are JUST LIKE THE ARCADES. The different Ms PM screens, cartoons. the Galaga double ship and challenging stages. Even the "non-player demo mode." Pole position is great too. the joystick twists like a steering wheel for unbelievable control. I've played near 60 games so far, so in 25-cent games I'm in the no-pay realm.

I think I'm going to grab several and send as xmas gifts. This unit gets my endorsement.

A lot aren't really classics, but these are some old games I play fairly often:

Grand Theft Auto
Super Mario 3 (All-Stars really)
Super Mario World
Sonic 3 & K
Goldeneye 007
Jurrasic Park (Genesis version)

Have you ever played the 'Rampage Edition'? I really like that game too...

Super Mario World is the best of the Mario games. And to be honest, I prefer the first to GTA's over the third(and it's expansions).

There I diasagree. GTA 3 is the best in the series. It's got so much. A cool plot, the radio stations, car stunts, boats, so much. Vice City I never played much but I didn't like your character having a name and personality, not sure why. I also remember it treating high speeds like crap. I don't know if any of that's been fixed in San Andraes, but I'm thinking of getting it once it comes out on PC.

And yes, I have the ROM for Rampage Edition. Is that the one that's like the original or is the Contra type one?

Not sure. Made a mistake in my last post, haven't really played the expansions. I do like the radio stations in the third game, but I dislike the feel of it. I found one and two much more fun to play. I just prefered the comical top-down view over the gritty realistic 3rd person.

I loved FF1 and I gotta say Strike Gunner STG and Star Fox were both bad ass, as was 1943.

I didn't think much of FF1, simply because random encounters piss me off. And I don't like the way you had to keep leveling up before entering a dungeon. I think that you should get enough experience from killing things in your way, you shouldn't have to backtrack to kill more stuff so your strong enough to do the next level.

I think its more like the original. You can pick Grant or the raptor as usual, and you pick levels from a map of the island? I remember it just a little bit.

I've played many an awesome game in my life:

Chrono Trigger
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Super Mario Kart
The Donkey Kong Trillogy
Killer Instinct
WWF Royal Rumble
NHL 95
NBA Jam
Sonic The Hedgehog
Road Rash II
Tiny Toons: Buster Busts Loose (MUCH harder than it sounds, trust me)
Bart's Nightmare
The Itchy and Scratchy Game
Mario's Time Machine
Yoshi's Cookie
Tetris
Super Mario Land 2
Spiderman (GameBoy)

I skipped the NES and went straight to SNES, as a kid. That's why I did not include any NES Games
