Changing the OT to fit our needs would be sinking to Lucas' level. I still advocate only re-tooling or reshooting some scenes with the same or very similiar dialogue. No scenes should be added or removed and characters certainly shouldnt be edited out. ROTJ may not be right but it was created and trying to change it now would be wrong. We must remember that there are those who grew up with rotj and found the ewoks to be cute and some of the low brow humor to be acceptable. It would be downright Lucaslike to put our own comfort above theirs. However I'm certain that noone is attached to the prequels, indeed most are trying to distance themselves from the bloody things. I think we can all agree that the PT is what needs to be changed most desperately.

The only real Star wars movie is Star wars. The rest is bollocks!!

And not the new versions either, Solo blew Greedo away without hesitation, Jabba never knew what happened or where Solo went. Solo took the double reward money and went his own way at the end. He only helped out in that last bit to shut Chewie up, and because without the empire smuggling would be easier. There is no Lando, no Ewoks, no Wampa ice creature, and certainly not the goddam muppet show pretending to be Jabba's palace!!!

I understand where you're coming from. We certainly didn't need The Empire Strikes Back. However, any problem with The Empire Strikes Back lies in the complete failing of Return of the Jedi to conclude the story with the justice it deserved.

But I agree. They really could have just made one Star Wars film and called it a day. It was a great film and it stood alone on its own feet. The unaltered version still does.

Yeah, it does. And I wouldn't change a thing about it.

Except maybe...

I'm just kidding here. But was there anything besides the cloud cars (in all the OT) that you liked, or would ever admit to liking?

ok here's one. I wish it weren't in the new version but I laughed the first time I saw it. I wouldn't want it to be definitive in any way
