Can there possibly ever be an explaination to the green lightsaber Luke uses on the Falcon in ANH? I'll even accept a bad explaination. It was blue when Ben first gave it to Luke. It was also blue throughout ESB. Am I missing something?? I refuse to accept the explaination that it will be explained in Ep III.

It's the Amazing Chameleon Lightsaber.
Or Lucas made a mistake.
I can cope with things like this, to be honest. It's all the continuity errors in the plot that irk me. Oh, and welcome, superrepus.

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

Thanks Helena. I guess no one else cares about the green saber thing. Maybe I'm just being silly. I thought it was fairly significant. I still think it's funny that the rebels thought it necessary to fly down the trench to destroy the Death Star. The exhaust port is flush with the surface. Is a proton torpedo able to make a 90 degree turn? Why not disregard the trench altogether, fly towards the exhaust port and have a straight shot. Many more attempts could have been made at bombing runs. Or, make the exhaust port perpendicular to the trench. I've put too much thought into this. Maybe GL should try thinking this much about his own ideas.

I just caught that this morning. Can you confirm that it is DEFINITELY blue in the original OT scene? He could be using Obi-Wan's saber (even though Obi-Wan has one dangling from his belt) but I want to track down if this is an OT mistake or an SE mistake.

I can confirm that Luke's saber is blue in all other previous editions. It is definitely green in the new dvd edition. Ben's saber is blue in all editions. Luke does not have a green one until he constructs one for ROTJ. How can GL justify this? Actually, how can he justify anything he does? Luke didn't switch his out with Ben in ANH because Ben uses a blue one with his duel with Vader.

You're not alone in this. In fact, I said as much to the rebel commander when I was at the meeting - A New Hope - one of our earlier Star Wars outings.
