This forum now has more posts on it than any other forum. And in other news I just realized the main reason why I hate the musical number in Jabba's palace: It reminds me way too much of a scene in "Labrynth" I half expected to see David Bowies massive dong somewhere in it. Labrynth was good because it was silly and cliched and just a generally good film for people of all ages. However Star Wars should be nothing like it.

the songs in lab. were great....

there should not have been even one song in any star wars movie...

"David Bowies massive dong" could only have improoved the film...
and would be better imput than George Lucarses miniture brain...

The original cantina band stays. All the other Numbers have ALWAYS fallen flat (Leia in the Holiday special.) This was supposed to be a gusher statement: I suppose they represent the demise of Entertainment in unfortunate times. (But now I remember that line being used in that holiday special, introducing the Reality program: Life on Tatooine. (I don't remember the name, it was the Bea Arthur scene.) Lucas, what a genius.

Oh, back to my point. If George is just out for the money, maybe one day there'll be a Star Wasr Broadway show! And Chris Guest could do a documentary on the Making of the Broad-WARS Musical. New York would welcome a New Annie to the white way. And Wait'll you see the Podracing Scene!

Despondent- Do not present ideas in this forum unless they're so absurd that we can be sure that

A Lucas will not make them or

B If he does make them they'll be terribly amusing.

An SW musical would scar us all even more than the PT if that's possible. If we hear word of a Star Wars musical we're all going to douse a copy of the special editions in gasoline and set it ablaze on your front lawn.

Unfortunately, nothing is that absurd. Make sure you have that gasoline in store...

But Star Wars: The Musical was done AGEST ago... and it was BRILLIANT! It was back when the Internet was still young enough to be largely free of coporate control and it served mainly as a tool for acquiring screenshots from Xena: Warrior Princess. At least that's what I heard some people used it for. unsure.gif
