Schwarzenegger outlaws sex with corpses
Monday, September 13, 2004

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Having sex with corpses is now officially illegal in California after Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill barring necrophilia, a spokeswoman says.

The new legislation marks the culmination of a two-year drive to outlaw necrophilia in the state and will help prosecutors who have been stymied by the lack of an official ban on the practice, according to experts.

"Nobody knows the full extent of the problem. ... But a handful of instances over the past decade is frequent enough to have a bill concerning it," said Tyler Ochoa, a professor at Santa Clara University School of Law who has studied California cases involving allegations of necrophilia.

In NY, having sex with a corpse is the same crime as having sex with an animal. Which makes me wonder what it is if you have sex with a dead animal.

Scary isn't it? As soon as I read the headline, I thought if they're outlawing this then it probably means somebody has done this. And yep, sure enough, there have been a dozen instances in the past decade in California. That is awful.

I thought this was already illegal everywhere. Either way, isn't this truly a victimless crime? wink.gif

In a sense, but the corpse's relatives might not be too happy about it. And there's a general consensus that you should respect the memory of a dead person by trying to treat them as they would have wanted in life, which is why we have things like wills.

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

Well, I think of it like the way Buck acted in Kill Bill.

He not only slept with coma patients, but he pimped them out for others to rape. Personally, I don't think she killed him painfully enough. Now, I could only imagine necrophiles to be similar people, and that's not a pretty image.

Rape is something that bothers Rein more than it does most guys. And most girls, for that matter. You know how everyone has something they're really terrified of? Like burning alive, or drowning? Rape never really came to mind when I went through my list of fears. But then a while back those two creepy guys showed up at my house...I had rape nightmares for weeks afterwards. I've had trouble with wierd nightmares for quite some time now, and certain things seem to trigger the really bad ones. dry.gif

EDIT: Bloody typos!
