Damn... the audio link is not working. I'd like to hear what he has to say.

Also, I'd like to point out that having 7,8 & 9 be about Luke Han and Leia is a bad idea. Especially since Harrison Ford will be like 70 by the time they're complete.

The audio works, it's just a really slow download... There is no way in hell Fischer and Ford are doing it. But my mind started racing the moment I saw it confirmed. What are these gonna be about?

Lucasfilm Confirms SW TV Series
Fri, Sep 10, 04 03:34:07 AM EDT

Yesterday TFN was up in Los Angeles for the DVD press day sponsored by Lucasfilm and Fox Home Entertainment. We are pleased to announce that Lucasfilm confirmed officially a Star Wars television show coming in the future. They didn't comment on setting (post-Episode III or post-Episode VI we would guess)or release schedule (we expect Fall 2006). Either way - this is coming for sure!

Okay, got the audio downloaded. Seems like a little BS (i.e. Lucas talking about Episode IV in 1976 even though he didn't add that to the first movie until before the 1980 re-release).

The part about Lucas and 20th Centure Fox arguing about Chewbacca not wearing any pants is pretty funny though.

Big news about the Star Wars TV show. Starting a separate thread on the subject! (check it out here: http://www.chefelf.c...=ST&f=4&t=1405)

Too bad they missed / chose to just completely ignore the narrow window of opportunity to make film versions of Timothy Zahn's trilogy. That would have been wonderful. But with the actors already so old, they had to start filming these movies as soon as the books came out.

But unfortunately, as we all know, they were too busy working on the prequels. I would much rather have had sequels than prequels. Something that takes the story further sounds so much more exciting than something that fleshes out the backstory... particularly when, in the case of the prequels... ah, not tonight. These days I get tired just from thinking about those terrible movies.

My God, the download is still not finished..... nearly there....

Okay. I can't say it sounds like anything too concrete... more just like reminiscing about good times. But it was a nice clip. The sound was a little fuzzy and so it is sometimes difficult to understand what Mark was saying - but he was quite funny and entertaining so I'm glad I had a listen. Thanks for the link, HK-47.

Yep, thanks for the link HK.

Interesting the prequels s'posed to be so dark. TPM was bright enough to get a tan.

but it was nice to hear Hamill's enthusiasm, even after all these years. He does have some ownership. the prequel actors? all I can recall is murmuring about how they're told what to do. And in condescending tones (to these ears.)

No problem guys. I don't know if you heard but AICN reported that the staff at ILM had to sign contracts prohibiting them from speaking about episodes 7-9. Hmmm, wonder why.... wink.gif
