During the past few weeks, this forum had become a bustling and exciting place to visit. Lots of interesting discussions and lots of members coming on regularly, both new and old.

So I'm just wondering... where are you all now?

The Star Wars forum feels like a ghost town these days.

Last weekend I watched the Tide play (from a luxury suite) and went to the lake (waved to Louis on the back of the boat while skiing.) A music workshop retreat this weekend and who knows when I'll get my Mac back from the shop. Working on my parody and at work, gotta get this catalog out. Lots to do, so I've stepped back a little to breathe in the ups and downs of this physical world.

But it's always nice to return here when I can. smile.gif

Well, I explained that I was taking a short break. I was spending ridiculous amounts of time posting here.

Despondent, what are you writing a parody of again?

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

QUOTE
Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

Helena, it's a combined effort parodying Star Wasr while paying homage to my favorite movie and favorite forum. (The Right Stuff, and, Chefelf.com night life.)

My mac died on the power surge yesterday, so I took it in today. Maybe no charge to fix, we'll see. I may just digitally screen shot the RS dvd on the telly, then upload the pics next week. Really looking forward to giving folks something to swoon over: All Y'all's Avatars in new and exciting places! smile.gif

Okay. Just wondering. It's good to know you're all still around the ridges.

Busy with uni work and other stuff. Plus, the size of the debates have sort of scared me out of this branch of the forums. Simply put, I don't have the time to read the long debates nor the knowege to argue a viewpoint.

Whenever I don't know enough about a subject, I just make stuff up and say it confidently.... you never know, sometimes this actually fools people. cool.gif

That said, when it comes to the awful prequel movies, arguing some points with Jariten is a little difficult sometimes because I've forgotten a lot of the details.

Honestly, my brain is busy erasing my memory of the prequels as fast as possible.... which is a good thing.

Well, I was just away for the weekend, minding my parent's dog while they were gone. I expected to be back on Monday as usual. But it seems that in the meantime I have developed a mega-size super depression and I have to sort myself out before I am really back to posting, bickering and stuff.

I am glad JYAMG started this topic, so I can post the above "on topic" with clear conscience.
See you soon, I hope. ph34r.gif

I've been avoiding the forums lately. With the SW DVD out soon, it has pretty much sealed the fate of SW's and my future as a SW fan. Should've quit sooner. The gushers win. My steam for arguing/discussing these films has reached its limit. I know I will never get the films I had always imagined the prequels to be. It is a sad, sad day. I must say, it has been enjoyable to come here and read/write about SW, but there is only so much one can talk about and how many times and ways it can be done. Nothing will change the mind of the gusher. It only builds up resentment in me.

So, maybe I'll drop in from time to time, but this is pretty much it. Take care, guys.... even you gushers. I'm glad somebody enjoys these films, but it's not me.

Take care too, Commoner. I understand where your coming from completely. Me, I plan to stay around for a little while longer - just for a bit of entertainment. I've given up on Star Wars a while ago actually. This is just a bit of fun for me now.
