the Barnes and Noble is having a Star Wars Night at midnight on Sept. 20. to Celebrate the release of the "Star Wars" trilogy with door prizes and costume contest.

I sure would like to come up (no upchuck pun intended) with an in-your-force costume for this event. Sleep would be better, probably. Dreaming of being satisfied with what was once "good enough."

Maybe some of your hometowns are offering the same?
Somebody needs to make a statement. Any costume ideas?

If you got the money, STORMTROOPER. but since those cost a mint your better off wearing the laia pigtails/bun things. but if you only have the currency of your imagination you could just go in a bathrobe and say your a Jedi Knight.

An upturned bucket works very well for Vader, I think smile.gif . But yeah, a Jedi costume could be easy to make - a turtleneck sweater and a bathrobe. Or a leather jerkin if you want to go for PT look.

And Leia hairdo is extremely difficult to make. Much as I tried, I never managed to put my hair into those pretzels over the ears from ANH. They must have used like a zillion cans of hairspray to make it hold together.
And to wind the plait round your head you hair must reach way below your waist. So, unless you have a wig, I am afraid Leia is out of the question biggrin.gif

what are the prizes??

I know what the prize would be at my local Barnes & Noble here in New York City... an ASS KICKING once you left.

...and you moved to a city where Star Wars fans receive asskickings, while George Lucas is showered with capital??

I guess I can't get on too high a horse; I moved to BOSTON, which is almost as bad.

Great suggestions, thanks guys.

Actually I was thinking of something like protesting against the clone wars or Lucas in general. Along the lines of "Don't throw your money away," or "these aren't the films you're looking for."

I challenge you to name a city where you can walk down a main street dressed like Obi-Wan Kenobi and not expect to get your ass kicked or at least a decent amount of verbal abuse.

Maybe somewhere in Scandanavia, it might be okay. What about in Japan, Jariten?

Despondent, I just had to, brilliant concept...

JYAMG, why do you think that we're more tolerant of Jedi wannabes here in Scandinavia? We do have them of course, but only in large masses waiting in line for tickets.

Nice one, HK-47. smile.gif

Maybe I could make a picket sign based on that image and just tell folks to "move along."

Guys, help me out here. I think I'm gonna post this where it's seen by many, so if you can think of any better (or rather worse) things to feature on the DVD box please let me know. Or simply better ways to write it, english is not my native language.
