Yeah, Helena is a cool name. I gave that name to a chick in a comic book series I made when I was a teenager. She was a babe, if I may say that about cartoon characters I penned myself.... unsure.gif ... um, can I say that?

I'm so glad someone started this thread. I had been meaning to.

When Chef emailed me about the forum last year, and it was pretty much prequel-assessment (not bashing, mind you) material, I wanted a name that would tap into my inner core of a star wasr fan betrayed, hollow and discouraged. Maybe I'd have joined sooner than #15 (which isn't bad, both numbers are in my birthdate) but I was searching for the right name, to represent my lack of faith in Lucas. So as I realized my hopes were dashed, I found myself:

Despondent.

Short Answer: Simple variation of my last name.

Long Answer: When Heccs first comic was being made, we needed some sort of alias for the character loosely based on me. I forgot how we came to "Reader Rabbit"... i mean, i knew of the game and have many fond memories of playing it, but i don't know why we went with it. Go figure. Anyway, it started out as my moniker for Hecc's initial forum's, and that carried over to him having a mini-forum on here, i suppose.

If i could turn back the clock i'd choose something better.

The Electric Prunes were a fabulous psychedelic garage band from the mid and late 60's. Their one radio hit was "I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night," and they also contribute some music to the Easy Rider soundtrack.

What can I say, I like old fogie music.

My name is my actual name. "Nicole" came from Days of Our Lives, or one of those soap operas. My mum was such a dork. I dunno where she got the Amber from. I go by Nicole, because when I was little, there were 5 Ambers in my class. My best friend when I was younger is also Nicole, though. Finally, everyone just started calling her Coley and me Nicole, which is how it still is today. smile.gif

I stole/borrowed my name from one of my Muses and used to have one of her pictures as my avatar (before people started complaining). I've lately gotten a bit tired of using Jane's name for everything, though, and it's really lacking that personal touch needed for names to apply properly. So I came up with a new original name for myself - "Jexx", which I've actually only used for Amtgard and my LiveJournal so far - by jamming my fingers on two random keys, inserting a vowel between them, and adding an extra "x"…all my other naming methods fell flat, I had to do something.

Unfortunately, I'm apparently not the first person who's thought of that name, so I changed it to "Jexxer" and "Mad Jexx" so I could register it at various places. I’d start using it here as well, but then I’d have to start posting all over again…and that would take too long and be a major pain in the ass.

So, yeah, my name is Jexx...or Jexxer...whichever you want to say. Just thought I'd say that, incase none of you here have been to my LiveJournal yet.

*Also, please excuse this if it sounds funny. This was mostly written under the influence of Ambien. Don’t take sleeping pills and type, people...
