QUOTE (barend @ Aug 31 2004, 09:39 PM)
CivNu2: did you ever do knife fights...?

You bet!

Knives, like prox mines, weren't compatible with the infinite ammo cheat, since with that cheat you couldn't interact with the ammo boxes AT ALL, and hence never actually get the weapons.

So that was annoying.

We would typically play knives on at least -2 health or lower, since otherwise it took forever to play out.

PS: I'm telling you; we tried everything. We done played that game out!

I always favoured License to Kill, Power weapons and turbo mode in either basement or complex. Oddjob, Civillian Number 4, and Moonraker Soldier(number 2 I think) were always banned for being short. I always played as Arctic Commando myself. And that thing you mentioned about the inf ammo and knives/mines is weird. Never happened when we played. Perhaps it's a regional thing? We had the PAL version.

Don't worry, Chyld, you're still lord of the shameless plugs on this forum. I wouldn't dream of taking you on there.

My name comes from being called Supes for most of my life. Although for obvious reasons I've rarely been able to use it. I was quite stoked when joining this forum that I'd actually get to use it. It's one of those names that you know is on every forum, but it actually has significance for me so I don't mind the lack of originality.

It's very cool to see the reasoning behind many of these though, cause you always wonder - especially about a name like barend. I'd always imagined you got that name because that's where people kept finding you. wink.gif

When that happens to me, I say "I am Gallaaxorr, from the planet Krillxya 5. I am here to steal your women away to my mansion among the stars, where I shall thrice lay them, and return them to you bearing my seed. Now make way, for I must potty!" That usually clears them away nicely.
