It seems that now [gasp] YODA is farting????!!?
So I guess the torch of toliet humor was passed from Jar Jar to Yoda?
I guess Civilian and all the other detractors may be correct about this film after all.
What do you think?
Far fetched rumor, or Lucas continuity?

It's sounds so stupid, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. dry.gif

Believe it or not, I'm actually prepared to give Lucas the benefit of the doubt over this one - I find it hard to believe even he would come up with an idea as terrible as that. If it is true... well, there goes any hope of RotS being a remotely decent movie. (Not that there was much to start with, but still...)

Oh, and if it is true, I wonder how long it will take for the more fanatical Prequel-lovers to start defending it? "Yes, of course, it adds a whole new depth to Yoda's charater!"

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

I don't believe it. Back in the OT, Luke announced at least twice that he needed to see YODA. Chewbaccca never even blinked an eye in response. I doubt they will meet in the PT.

I dont know...I remember seeing in a more recent interview, George had mentioned that ROTS would be by far the darkest movie, but it would definitely have some humorous moments thrown in. Knowing his sophmoric sense of humor, I wouldn't doubt it if this scene is one of those moments.

Come on Jordan. Remember who we're talking about here.
Continuity isn't exactly one of George's stronger points.

Exactly. As for the rumour being true, I've got no doubt about it. It sounds highly likely, given Lucas' track record with the prequels.

Doesn't China have bars where you can cry in it?

I want to go there NOW!

You know, I just wouldn't put it past Lucas. Man, what can you say to this? I mean, what could you say except that Lucas has seriously lost his mind! I mean---Is this really the same guy who had ANYTHING to do with Star Wars? I mean-- I MEAN!!!

GOD IN HEAVEN!! Lucas is having us on! He's taking us for a ride! He's screwing around, right? I mean, couldn't he have made the "real" Star Wars and any half-assed, stupid, "I want to make this movie for kids" ideas he could save for something entirely?!? He could've made Jar Jar Binks a main character in an unrelated fully CGI animated film, and that could've been the one for the kids, but no, he has to throw all of this crap---and I do mean CRAP into these films!

GRRR!!! ARGH!!! SNAP!!!

I just can't wait to read Chefelf's list after he sees Episode III. My condolensces, CE for having to see it for our benefit...

you know what...

I believe every word of it!!!

in fact i don't know why he soesn't have yoda just go all chimp like and fling his own shit at the clone troops...

infact why not just go Spidermonkey stile and jump on chewies head and start trying to hump his ear (like the pet monkey Richard Prior described in one of his stand up vids.)

when he delivers this greatest moment in cinematic history, he should pull that kung fu pose while farting, and then wave it over to them...

A whiff of this you will have, you will not, hmm?

CLASSY!!!

Poor Chefelf. I wish I could see his face when he reads this...

Well...
After rumours including surfing on lava and giving Anakin in ROTJ face of Hayden this came as no surprise for me. I expected this much of George.
Yoda has already been reduced to a Kung-fu fighting puppet, having him farting does not spoil him too much for me - it's already been done.

At this point it doesn't really bother me. The damage has already been done. Yoda farting, Chewbacca winking at the camera, Obi-Wan riding a unicycle while juggling bowling pins... the whole thing seems like such a farce to me anyway.

Ditto. I've just lost the will to care anymore. I'm hoping Ep III is terrible, just so Chef can write up another quality list. It's sad but it's what I feel inside. I can't fight this feeling anymore. I don't even remember what I was fighting for.
