Just tried to sign up myself so I could tell them all they've got no life and ask them if they're proud of themselves, sitting around bitching on Chefelf and rubbing each other's backs...

... but I can't get past their lousy sign up system. And honestly, it's not worth the trouble.

I considered signing up, but was afraid of saying something that would spark a flame war between forums. Lets face it, we don't want people swearing at us for having a different opinion, so I see no point to encourage it.

True. We certainly don't want to invite unintelligent pricks over to our forum. I still remember that "wookiefucker" guy who came here a while ago and gave me the biggest sling of obscenities I've ever heard... and all because I suggested that he use a more appropriate username should he ever sign up.

Now, I am certain that he must have come over from the Force.Net forums.

That being said, I quite liked Jordan's argument in the force.net forums.

It's official: Chef must have been banned from theforce.net, since I created a User Profile in all of five minutes, confirmation email and all. This of course is assuming that Chef is not so boneheaded that he forgot to look for the confirmation mail in his junk mail box.

Anyway, I came to his defence, in my own inimitable way:

The game is on!

PS: The title of my avatar there is "betrayed." They don't let you post your own av. Fair enough.

And all the usual suspects show up. rolleyes.gif

"Don't make your opinion a fact- because it isn't and will never be- just like ever other member's."

Typical gusher rebuttal which means: "It's your opinion like ours, but because I can get more people on my side in this thread to shout you down, your opinion is not only not fact, but is more meaningless than ours."

Got to decipher the code. wink.gif

Burn the lot of them to cinders, I says. I haven't got the time to waste doing it myself, but knives in teh lives for the lot of them. Pretentious gits.

A very fine effort by Civilian...

it looked like one or two people might have actually paying attention. But for the most part, I think these people aren't worth the effort. They seem pretty shallow, the way they need to all gang up together on Chefelf and then reassure each other.

I also noticed that some of them were very young, based on their comments, which is how I imagined the majority of the prequel fans are. I think many of these people would not be that familiar with the original Star Wars movies.... and they certainly wouldn't appreciate them like a genuine Star Wars fan.

i think (and i hope) youre right. thats the way Lucas planned it, and the way it should be.

i grew up with the originals. i distictly remember never being able to watch them through to the end when i was really young watching them at christmas becasue me and my friends would always go outdside halfway through and argue over who got to be boba fett.

Way to go, Civie, "NIghtlife!" Keep swinging!

I can honestly say I could feel the day slipping away from me while in that dark place. Glimpses of light crept in and reminded me get a life.

I did sign up for an account in order to flame the lot of them (and believe me, they'll be toasted into ashes when I get there), but they haven't sent me a conformation e-mail yet. I'll just fins somebody to hack their ass into next week, make it easy... wink.gif
