Is anyone else excited about Resident Evil 4?
I went to EB for an hour just to play the demo. It's really cool.

It's not like the other RE games: the camera is over-the-shoulder, which is good, but makes it hard to see who's sneaking up on you. And they do sneak up on you. The goddam chainsaw guy just won't die. I emptied 2 clips into his head, kicked him off the roof, shot him with a shotgun, and even threw a grenade at his feet and all he did was get up and cut my head off. Mabye it's the bag on his head. Bush should give all the marines bags if it makes them invincible to hand grenades.

When this comes out I won't even remember Metroid Prime 2 or the new Zelda game.

I also want to play System Shock 2 and Diablo, but my CD drive broke in the hurricane.

I'm interested, but I still have to get a copy of three. I only came across RE on the Gamecube. I love remake and zero, but hated two. As it was a port, it had horrible graphics, which really ruined the atmosphere. It's odd, I've always said gameplay over graphics, but this was a case where graphics were really important.

I absolutly LOVED The Resident Evil Remake. I bought it used from a secondhand CD store, I beat it with both characters in two days.

I'm looking forward to RE4, It may sound weird but I would prefer the camera angle to switch just around corners. It gave me a creepy feeling, like you don't know what the hell is around the corner. I'm glad to see Leon's back too.

I agree, the re-make was incredible, and scary as any other game or movie I've seen.

Normally in the horror genre sound is the most important thing, but graphics play a big part also.

Another thing, everyone bitches about the camera angles in RE, but that's a big part of what made it scary. One of the first hallways had an angle where it looked like someone dropped the camera, so you couldn't clearly see what was in the next room. Something was making wierd noises and I almost shut off the 'cube it was so scary. It turned out to be crows.

The new one isn't very scary so far. I hope it will be.

I remember one room in the remake where the camera was actually from under a desk. That was inspired, and really puts you off balance. I always loved the fixed camera, the way they would tilt it on long corridor or staircases just made you that much more on edge, often without realising why.
