I've done some research online of that phrase, and have come to the conclusion that looking up that phrase online makes you depressed and mildly irritable.

Instead, why not do the google-image-search equivalent of research. It's just as uninformative and less sad-making (if you know that the mother&son team were acquitted).

I think it might be a mother-and-mother team. The son-figure seems to be named "Sue." Unless, of course, they were being all Johnny Cashy.

I appeared on the scene after the first wave of saying, "Bleuh! I vant to sock your blood," but the few times I did hear it I enjoyed it. But then I was like, "Who says Bleuh?" I don't think that part has sunk into my section of popular culture.

Call me naieve but I really think people read, especially the whitty and intelligent folks around these forums. And by folks I mean one person, and by one person I mean the guy who posted the bitmap of F Scott Fitzgerald. The New Yorker has called it the greatest piece of political satire since Rory's controversial political cartoon!

As for Dracula I just grew rather attached to Johnathan Harker and then when it started switching without any seeming structure I rather lost track of the tale. I read "Queen of the Damned" which has a similiar patern of narration but it's all written under the auspices of Lestat so there's some stability.

I'm currently about half way through King Solomons Mines, which in its time outsold both Dracula and Jekyll and Hyde, and the Picture of Dorian Gray, and the invisible man ( so technicly Allan Quatermain is the best member of the league of extraordinary gentlemen!) I'm really starting to grow interestted in the Victorian era as a whole, just because it was a time when things were completely hillarious but noone could laugh because they'd be laughing at themselves.

Also, I have forgotten what I was talking about.

I enjoy reading, but usually silly stuff. Right now I'm reading these two really adorable books called The Chronicles of Chrestomanci. I've also been reading The Last Vampire series to Reiner. smile.gif

I stick mostly to sci-fi and fantasy. Just finished the third book in The Pearl Saga by Eric Van Lustbader. I quite liked it. The first one starts off similar to Dune, but it tends more towards the magical as the story goes on. However, I think its going to turn back to the technological side soon.

Erm... I've been reading Lewis Carrolls books...

As a result, I know Jabberwocky off by heart, and will shortly be working on The Walrus and the Carpenter. smile.gif

Amber- I like humorous literature occasionally but the funniest writing I've read off this site is Oscar Wilde. Dorian Gray was a pretty good story but if you want his best humor read his plays.

Chyld- Ah, you may know of the jabberwhocky, but are you wary of the fruminous bandersnatch?

Good heavens! This topic has been viewed more than any other on the page. Are people really THAT interested in seeing F Scott Fitzgerald naked?

Yes, but you will find they are more interested in both L&E complaint threads.
