Not that he doesn't deserve the 'Unappreciated Computer Game Character Of The Week' title, in fact, it's about damn time. But just for the record:

1) Tails is just a nickname, he's really called Miles Prower. Y'know, that popular Japanese name.
2) Supersonic can fly, or...at least hover just above the ground so falling probably wouldn't be too much of a problem for him.
3) I'm going to go and kill myself now.

Okay, Tails isn't his real name, but Sonic just decided to give him a lovely pet derogatory nickname instead. How nice. It must have happened in a drunken game of "Whoever can insult the deformed bloke the most, wins".

And just for the record: Supersonic is gay. Even if he could fly to the moon and back with a rocket designed to fit up his arsehole with a comfortable fit, he would still be uncool and gay - even more so, in fact.

I knew full well when I posted that article that Tails' real name was Miles Prower. I intentionally didn't mention it so that I could (1) make a joke about insensitive parents and (2) see who would be the first tosser to point it out to me and assume I gave a shit.

Oh, I get it, Miles Prower.

I played that game all the time when I was 10 (and I've still never gotten past the Oil Ocean Zone!), and I'm only just now getting that.

I always thought it was Miles [Proh'-er]. I thought it was just a kind of a normalish, cute, mild-mannered name.

I'm so disillusioned.

The neat thing, though, is that the stupid joke last name has to be upheld for all of Miles' relatives. I believe his dad is named Amadeus. Amadeus Prower. Like Amadeus... PER HOUR! Get it??!!

If you say so.

I always found him kinda irritating in the cartoons... especially the recent Sonic X. He DOES fly a kosher plane though.

He's insanely annoying in SA2 and Sonic Heroes. Mostly because of the voice acting. "Sonic... you're dead. No. Oh no."

I think they were contractually obliged to include one annoying character per team in Sonic Heroes, to stop you liking it too much...
