I don't care for Maddox. Humorous at times...but I find Yahtzee's humor much more appealing. He's funny without seeming like such an asshole. happy.gif

Usually I agree - but more recent writings seem to be leaning Maddox-wards, which is never a good thing.

The difference would be that Yahtz doesn't seem to be quite as full of himself as Maddox is. He can defend his points of view without degenerating into "I'm right, and you're wrong! Because I honestly have nothing else to back myself up with!", which is essentially what Maddox always does. Plus, unlike Maddox, Yahtzee has the ability to actually, you know, keep a website running without feeling the need to individually make fun of everybody that disagrees with him.

Well said. Even still, Yahtzee doesn't really come across as a complete asshole to me. He can voice his opinions humorously and still manage to seem like a nice enough guy. biggrin.gif

Amber-Nicole. I think that might come across as vaguely unflattering to Yahtz.

'Nice enough guy'.... see what I mean?

Saying he's not an asshole is unflattering? blink.gif

Personally, I always thought a lot of the humour from Madox's site actually came from laughing at him and his overextended sense of self-importance. I know I like to act snobbish and up myself a lot, but its more a sarcasm because in certain respects I think very little of myself. Unfortunatly, I sometimes do too good a job at acting and sometimes people actually do think I'm up myself.

I disagree. I actually enjoy Maddox and don't think he's that full of himself. Most of the time when he goes into that "I'm better than (whatever" it's in jest. Yahtzee's writings are better and more frequent.

Anna N and Heccubus didn't get it and to explain would serve no purpose.

I dunno Princess, I think you're strugging a bit to get an insult out of 'nice enough guy' with a grinny smiley.

You were thinking of the lady with big boobs on those weight loss commercials where she's either on a model runway shaking them, or else she's on the beach molesting some random guy. She's the reason that people will be talking to me and suddenly be like "You know what? Your name reminds me of porn. It's a very pornstaresque name. That's cool." dry.gif
