Has anybody here actually played this game? If not, I would seriously reccomend it. It's right up there with Fallout 2 and KotOR for best RPG of all time.

Basic premise: You wake up on a table in The Mortuary. You have no memory of who you are. You appear to be covered in scars, many of which would indicate fatal wounds. Not only is your skin laced with scars, but there are a multitude of tattoos covering your body. You are aproached by a floating skull that goes by the name of Morte, and you decide to escape the Mortuary together. Soon enough you notice that you regenerate at an incredible rate. And so begins The Nameless One's quest to find out who he is, and why he can't die.

Wierdness supreme. I was just looking at this game at The Underdogs earlier today. It looked sweet. However, I still have to put Daggerfall in as one of the best RPGs ever.

I played through most of Torment, but I had just been borrowing it from a friend of mine so I never got the chance to beat it. If I were smart I'd pick it up in one of those Dual Jewel things they sell in computer stores now, with two good games for $10 or so. It's definately worth the $5 instead of stealing it from some seedy Intarweb site... dry.gif

I can't believe that most of my friends have never heard of this game. This is truly one of the greatest tragedies in American history. ohmy.gif

I'm not sure what happend to it, for it to slip through the cracks. I mean, all its reviews are positivly glowing, and Tycho from Penny Arcade refers to it as what he belives to be the greatest game ever made quite often, and yet nobodys heard of it and even less people have it.

Seeing as there were new people around, I thought I'd bump this so as to get some more comments.

Yep. Right on both accounts. Sadly, it's really hard to find. A friend of mine found a copy of Ebay, though he had to pay a bit. He lent it out to us afterwards.

The majority of the game is set in Sigil, but you also visit The Outlands, Carceri, Baator and the Negative Material Plane.
