What with all the other changes, the terrifying thing is that Chewbacca being an Ewok and Ackbar being a Gungan doesn't actually sound all that far-fetched.

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

QUOTE
Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

Thank you. smile.gif It was a lot of fun for me too.

Yeah, the CGI Jabba is pretty damn bad. I wonder if I presented the two Jabbas side-by-side to Mr Lucas... would he understand why the puppet was better?

I loved the act of Gumby replacing C3PO. Brilliant.

Thanks. Gumby replacing Threepio was a little reference to the sudden dexterity Threepio picked up in Episode II when he was swinging off machinery and the like. If he was Gumby, this behaviour may have been a little easier to swallow.

Very cool use of an image there too, HK47. cool.gif

I wonder which species will replace Chewbacca for real on the actual September DVDs? unsure.gif

My guess is the Jawas, as that would make no sense at all.

Edit: Typo.

Yeah, that might just be crazy enough for Lucas' tastes. It's hard to tell how far gone an idea has to be before it's something that Lucas might think of himself.

Okay. I was browsing for more images that I might be able to use for another movie outing... when I came across THIS -

I cannot believe it. The new CGI Jabba is even worse than the old one, and looks less like Jabba did in Return of the Jedi than before. Is Lucas dyslexic, colour-blind or both? What is his excuse? Can he not tell that this does not look anything like what it's supposed to?

If you want to explore more, this guy posted a few screencaps from the new DVD, including THIS one -

Yep, it looks Greedo is still going to shoot first. Unbelievable.

More here for the morbidly curious -
