I always liked this one:

Twas in the woods I got it,
So I sat me down to find it,
But I failed to apprehend it,
So I took it home with me.

What is it?

This was taken from Baldur's Gate 2

A party of tears
And a liquid trail
I try to sleep
But to no avail.

What am I?

I'm having trouble with that one. I've got two left. dry.gif I've been thinking for hours. I can't decide if it's an emotion, or actually some kind of a body of water. This is also from www.johnnyhollow.com. The reason I'm so set on solving them is because they have prizes..some wierd looking desktop themes, and a song from the band. Really wierd, creepy music. I want more! biggrin.gif

The answer is four letters, by the way. To only be four letters, it must be something simple. dry.gif

My role is moderation,
My goal consistency
If I clash
I will flare up
to an intolerable degree.

What am I?

Heh yeah, I realized what it was a little while ago...the "flare up" was the key.

I figured that the start must have had to do with 'tempering' metals, but I'm not altogether certain. Well, its been fun. Anybody else have any others? I'll repost mine from before, and put the answer up tomorrow or so if nobody gets it.
