I didn't realize video game trivia/industry backstory could be as terrifying as hardware and OS.

Another area of the world today not think about. Bravisimo!

It owns everything... just think of the pull it has:
  • Everything bearing the three letters S-I-M: SimCity, SimEverthingElse, The Sims
  • Just about every major sports franchise:
    • NHL
    • NBA
    • MLB
    • FIFA
    • Madden
    • NCAA
    • NASCAR
    • Tiger Woods PGA Tour
    • etc.
  • The Medal of Honor franchise (Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, PC)
  • EA Big: Their "Extreme" Sports games including SSX franchise, NBA Street, NFL Street, etc.
  • All James Bond Games
  • Peter Molyneaux's Past Creations Including Black & White, Black & White 2, etc.
  • The Lord of the Rings games
  • Ultima Online
  • Harry Potter Franchise
  • Need For Speed
  • Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 2, etc.
  • Command & Conquer
  • Catwoman (just kidding wink.gif)
Nearly all of those games were propery of studios that EA bought out and took over the rights to. Those are just the BIG name games. There are a lot of other games I didn't bother to list.

If they didn't own so many of the game franchises that I love, they would also be feeling my economic boycott. wink.gif

I like the articles on that site, but they don't give me enough information. There's no links or anything when I want to know more... all it gives is a small little blurb about this and that.

This site is new, right? Maybe soon it'll change that cramped layout?

I hope so...

If we're quoting news stories we should give a link to the actual story. That doesn't always happen though. sad.gif

He did, actually. My mistake. Fable will not be an EA game. However, Molyneaux's past games are included in EA.

I thought B&W was his opening gambit, therefore that and later games are all his own. If only he releases Fable on PC or Gamecube so that I can play it, he would be a living legend.

Hey Chelf, tell Pirillo to let you sort by author. I want to read your reviews and Yahtzee's, but I don't like those entries that are just direct quotes from some press release. What, do they think I care about video game news or something?

Well... I'll see what I can do. I know you could do it with an XML reader quite easily... as far as on the site I'm not sure.
