I agree that he should re release the originals, or at least have an option in the dvd's where you can watch it without the changes. However I can see why Naboo would be at the end of ROTJ. SW is supposed to be watched as a six part series, and the only movie Lucas has an oppurtunity to do that with is ROTJ.. He has to please all of his fans and not listen just to the minority(are you guys in the minority?). Casue I mean, if you watched all six episodes in order wouldn't you be wondering what happened to Naboo/Coruscant/etc. As for Haydens head in ROTJ, I heard that he supposedly "dies" in ROTS and the spirit ghost that remains is the appearance you last were when you were a jedi. I dunno, well see. And as for Greedo shooting first....your right that just SUCKS.

I was privately hoping that the Gungans would be destroyed by the end of the prequels... So much for that idea...

Coruscant, though, I'll admit that I liked that scene in ROTJ: SE. The destruction of Palpatine's statute instantly clicked for me as an echo of the fall of Communism, and seen today, post-Taliban and post Saddam Hussein regime, the image of the falling Palpatine statute is an eerie foreshadowing of the Iraqi mob tearing down the huge images of Saddam. For me, that add-on gave a very real feeling to the Star Wars 'verse. Curiously, a lot of the post ROTJ Expanded Universe novels do the same thing, in fleshing out the world of Star Wars... it really did feel like a realistic, viable fictional universe to me.

Still, if people like the Ewok song better than the celebration montage, they shouldn't be denied from seeing it. The up-tempo drums and singing music at the end of the special edition of ROTJ did really put a smile on my face whenever I saw it, though...

In my re-writes, they would've been dead by ANH, because Naboo would've been Alderaan... but we would've felt bad for the Gungans as they would not have been the silly creations Jett... er... I mean Lucas "brilliantly" came up with.

As for the "minority" I don't think so. I can slowly see how it's all disipating for Lucas. There is just not this air of "excitment" for these films. The news use to be gaga about these releases... especially Entertainment Tonight, but I think they're feeling like schmucks now. Of course, it's still a little early for this summation... we still a few months to go, but if I still loved Star Wars, I would be totally psyched right....

...but I'm not. If I happen to miss Episode III in the theatres... big whoop.
