Any games you lament the loss / savour the procurement of?

- I've seen Thrasher in stores, but i never picked it up. Now i fear i shall never set eyes on it again.
- The time i almost got a Saturn has been well-documented. The short of it is i saw one, turned my head for a minute, then it was GONE! Self-infliceted eye-jabbing ensued.

- One time, i bought this used copy of Street Fighter Alpha 3 in ratty condition and without the instructions. I didn't work on my PS, so i took it back the next day to exchange it. Guess what i exchanged it for? SFA3 in good condition WITH instructions! Go figure. *dragon-punches to the moon*
- RAD. And Disgaea. Acquired in similar ways. I have them, and that's all that matters.
- Xenogears. This one makes me feel special. I just kept going in and looking for it, and one day it popped up. Go figure.

- this one belongs in both categories: At my mum's apartment in Brampton about 8 years ago or thereabouts there was a parkling lot sale going on. What did i find there? The fucking NES mat.... that you run on. Bought that sucker for a sensational price (something like $10 or so). I'm dumb. When i wanted a Playstation very badly i sold both my genesis (not a big deal, really) and my NES (i had Final Fantasy 1 WITH the box AND instructions, along with other very fun things) and the mat along with it. That's what's the matter with me.

Thrasher Skate and Destroy was an Awesome game.

Not as good as Tony Hawk, which was released around the same time, so Thrasher got no recognition.

But it was a good game, with a kick ass soundtrack.
Booze-fueled paragon of pointless cruelty and wanton sadism.

-My mother was going on her average 'yard sale spree' and she took me with her. I'd say I was about 10.

Well anyway, we stoped at a yard sale that an old couple were having. And you'll never guess what I saw sitting there in a shoe box! A mint condition 'Intellivision'! Right beside it was another shoe box, full of games! I asked the old couple how much for the sucker, and they said '5 dollars'!...5 FUCKING DOLLARS! I did that happy, jumping up and down dance kind of thing 10 year olds always do. I asked my mom to buy it for me and this is what she said: "You don't need anymore video games, you have enough at home." But I didn't even HAVE that many video games. I think all I had was a Super Nintendo!

I left that yard sale in grief, I always bring that subject up to my mom every once in awhile just for the satisfaction of it.

-The game I admire most is my nes game 'Startropics'. I've been playing that game for years. I don't know why I mentioned the game, though, because everyone I tell has never even HEARD of it before.

I had A 'Saturn', but I never played it that much because I couldn't find a 'memory cartrige' ANYWHERE.

I remember cruising through my local EB(that actually being the only gameing shop I know of)and noticed a copy of Metal Gear Solid:Twin Snakes. I was gonna pass on it and get it later when I had a bit more cash, but I noticed that stocks were limited. The store had been given oly 20 copies, and 18 were sold in preorders. It was lucky I went in to the store that day.

It is an excellent game. One of the best "Skateboarding Game Licensed From A Skateboarding Magazine" games ever released. And yeah, the soundtrack was good.
I had a copy that I picked up in a used PSone game section thingy, and some fucktard that lived in the same house as me briefly stole it (along with my copy of the PS2 version of The Sims) this past fall. I've not seen a copy of it since.

I have a copy of Skate and Destroy right here. My brother loved Tony Hawk, so got it for his playstation. He later sold the PS and all the games to a friend, and then a few years later I bought it back. As such, I have a few games that I have absolutly no interest in. I think its a cheap Bali rip off, but hey, if you want it, its yours.

Sime, aren't you from the other side of the globe as us? The game might not work in a North American PS2 if you are.

I keep thinking you're British, sorry. Yeah, mine are PAL versions, and I never thought of shipping costs either. Oh, just remembered that its a cheap Bali copy, so according to the label on the back, it's NTSC, but buggered if I know whethere thats true or not. Mine is modded and plays both.

Crap, i'll pay shipping costs. It can't be THAT much - it's just a cd. It fits in a regular-sized envelope and won't cost much more than a regular letter. If it is NTSC, as you say, i want it.

When I was about 8 or 9 making this about (1985 - 1986) I got babysat by these two teenage girls. When I used to go to their house they had this game on the computer that we used to play. It was an RPG that looked very similar in style to the Ultima series (but after playing all the Ultimas later in life none of them seem to be the same game).

I have no idea what the game was and I've scoured the-underdogs.org looking for something that seems like the same game but I've been unable to find it.

I would love to know what it was.

I was thinking of Heccubus being british, as for some reason I thought it was him that wanted the game, but anyway. If you want the game, pm me you details or somesuch and I'll look into posting. Take into account that I'm a slack bastard and getting to the post office is another matter.
