Some bands go beyond mere note-for-note recitals of whatever the fuck they put on their album. We all know this. So say things about it.

Audio only:

Frank Zappa (+ the Mothers) - Roxy+Elsewhere (although there were many overdubs... those allergic to such things should check out YCDTOSA vol2, OR the ROXY DVD whenever the fuck the ZFT decide to release it); Weasels Ripped My Flesh (mostly live tracks, some studio integration, but never at the same time);
The Who - Live at Leeds (too obvious, i know)

Sound with pictures:

Woodstock, Moneterey Pop, Jimi Plays Berkeley, Gwar (even though i haven't seen any of their dvd's yet),

my mind is blank today, but rest assured there are many many more to be included!

Who was that group in the '80s that ONLY did concert videos? John Cafferty and The beaver brown band? that always annoyed me.

Didn't just about everyone do mostly concert videos in the 80s?

Anyway, I have a 40 minute live bootleg of Aphex Twin performing at Glastonbury '97 that is extremely enjoyable. Also: "From The Muddy Banks Of Wishkah" by Nirvana, and some radio sessions that I have kicking around by DJ Shadow. Oh, and Joy Division's "BBC Sessions" record.

When they were all muddy 'n' stuff? Or was that Lollapalooza? Either way, the live NIN stuff I've seen/heard is excellent. "And All That Could Have Been" is a good listen.
I've been listening to "The Smell Of Female" by the Cramps lately. It's a brilliant live record. Plus it's the Cramps. And they are rad.
