GSN's russian roulette you're over-reacting

in response to essay about Russian Roulette for your information the fall that the contestants take is only 6 feet. and below each "drop zone" are several thick gym pads so ultimately the drop is safe. In fact there used to be a web page that had a picture of someone falling on the mats but the site is down. The show's been running for about 2 years and the worst injury yet is a sprained ankle. besides all of the contestants sign release forms and go through test runs so that they know the propper way to fall and the machinery works fine. I think if the show really was as dangerous as you say it is it would have never made it to air. (then again fear factor (cringe)). But yeah Game Show Network (GSN)'s russian roulette is totally safe. In fact, the show is on in several international countries many of which don't even have the lights flashing around to warn the contestants when they are about to fall. You had no reason what so ever to bash a show with absolutely no problems. I'll be looking for an apology.

Don't hold your breath. It's a humour site. If you take things that seriously on a humour site, you need to stop visiting humour sites.

You want an apology from somebody posting their own opinion on their own private site which you chose to read of your own free will?

what I'm meant is that there's no reason to bash the entire network becuase of one show. Plus, I think something like could easily get taken the wrong way. i.e. I wasn't aware that it was supposed to be humour based. I found my way onto the site when someone on another message board gave the link and said 'You've got to read this". I'm sure calling GSN "pure evil" could easily get misinterpreted. Basically what I think is that even though you meant no harm you insulted the folks at GSN, the folks on Russian Roulette and many fans of the show.

For those of you who are unclear about what exactly is being discussed, it was an essay written by guest author Amber-Nicole on October 29, 2003. Here's a link: http://www.lanceande...ownetwork.shtml

Let's call in the author for a rebuttal!

That could be tough, but I'll try.

To be honest, I can't possibly take any argument that ends with "Think of the children" seriously. Its just so over-used in comedy.

I already tried. It doesn't seem to have worked. wink.gif

I have the advantage of being local, not that it's done me much good...

Steven: I Fix Computers ™. This is Steven.

Me: Hello... Is Nicole there?

Steven: Nicole?... We don't have anyone named Nicole here.

Me (Thinking quietly to myself): Wha? Even though her dad owns the place and she works there, supposedly as a receptionist?

Me (In a sing-song voice): Okay, thank you!

Steven: Buh-bye. *click*

So... I'll try again tomorrow, this time asking for Amber.

Hello everyone. Yes, for the past 10 days I have been on vacation in the lovely Washington D.C. As for Steven...he's a new guy my dad just hired. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him yet. I'll be going back to work this week, sadly. dry.gif
A little bit off topic here but....never go to Washington. It was horrible. Email me at meowingjinjo@hotmail.com for the pictures of how terribly bored I look. President Bush sucks, old documents and stuff about war sucks, blah blah blah. I know our country was founded on all that, I should be proud, etc etc. But I'm just not interested. Wars are depressing. And quite frankly, going anywhere with my mom and a camera is depressing. Example. My mom as we walk through Arlington Cemetary: "Omg a purple dandelion how fascinating lol" ~click~ "Omg a chipmunk look Nicole how fascinating lol" ~click~....Yeah. Now back to the subject at hand. Dear random idiot, I am now informing you that this is a HUMOUR site. You can whine about my thoughts regarding the Game Show Network all you like. But we don't care. Perhaps my response could have been more friendly had you not caught me after a TWO DAY drive in a small vehicle with my family, but alas, you did not. So kindly, fuck off. smile.gif Now I'm going to get back to unpacking. Zach, IM me sometime and I will give you my cell number so that you can more easily reach me in the future.
