Interesting rumor.. Apparantly Sam Raimi was asked to direct the doom movie back in '98 but couldn't work out a date.

Really? I've never heard about the French being insane.
I've heard an innumerable amount of other things against them (such as they're a bunch of snooty little bastards who smell bad and don't shave), but I've never heard anything about insanity.
I always heard that it was the Germans who were nuts.

Apparently 80% of French people suffer from this brain parasite that knocks about 20 IQ points out of your head and doubles your reaction time, hence the French love of stonking great motor accidents. You get it by eating undercooked meat, and at any given time 20% of English people, 33% of Americans and 15% of Germans have it.

As much as it pains me to say it (sort of), I think more than 33% of Americans must suffer from this...my guess is that's it's up to at least 40%.

I haven't seen BROTHER BEAR, since frankly I'd rather pour silver into my eyes, but I did see some commercials for it. I think it's HILLARIOUS when the two moose talking, and they sound like Bob and Doug Mackenzie!
For shame, Disney. You want to make a reference to Canada, and all you have is this CBC comedy show from 20 years ago. Way to be topical, eh.
Anyway, nice to see Rick and Dave getting work milking their Cancuck stereotype. And yes, it's accurate, if you happen to live with 100 miles of Toronto. Thereabouts, you will also hear the much-lauded rised dipthongs, and what fun can be had there!
On topic: I agree with pretty much everything you guys are saying about "niggers" and "chinks." They are terrible words and noone should be using them, especially not the niggers and chinks. Yes, I will go out on a limb and announce that we are now culturally advanced enought that the way to "take back the power of the word" or whatever crap they're spewing in Ebonics 101, is to shut the hell up and let the rednecks call attention to themselves by using a word that you know better than to ever say.
And yes, "Oriental" includes Persians and Arabs, so it's a pretty useless word to use in terms of describing South Asian people. It's now more a term for cultural historians and snooty librarians.
