Okay, I saw this on another forum, and thought it was an amazing idea. Basically, if anyone is interested, PM me with your mailing address. I'll get them all jotted down, and when I have a bunch, I'll send everyone who entered another address. All you have to do then, is burn a mixed CD of your favourite tunes, and mail it off. After a couple of weeks (so that you have enough time to hear everything, and copy anything you liked), I send everyone a NEW address, and they send the CD that they received to someone else! To me, this is a great way to discover some new music, and get a feel for what everyone is listening to around here. So if you're interested, just send me a private message with your address, and I'll see how many we get.

Sounds good, but when's the deadline? I have a friend who can burn CDs, but it might take me a while to get in touch with him.

Sounds like a fine idea to me! Count me in, soon as I find a way to use my CD-R drive...

Once you received your first address, the deadline for mailing would probably be a week to nine days.

What do you need to get it working?

I don't know. Probably, to plug it into my computer, find software for it, then work out whether its a CD-R or a CD-RW, since we did buy the wrong disks for it all those years ago...

Or I could just buy one for my laptop.

No matter which it is, just buy the regular, plain ol' CDR discs. As for software, you can probably at least get a free trial of Nero or Roxio from their respective websites.

Still enamoured of this idea, but now I don't even have a CD burner, let alone any idea how to use it...
